Hey everyone! Welcome to Part 1 of the Character Gallery! Check out Part 2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWGbmqdpptuLbaM You may remember my old Character Galleries for Thomas, Percy and James from 2021. Recently I was revising my footage, and I decided to make galleries for ALL my engines at the same time in a new, interactive format. In this video, you can use the numbers on your keyboard or the timestamps to select an engine gallery from the Main Menu. This was something totally different and experimental, but it was a lot of fun to make! Be sure to check out Part 2 with eight more engines, including new engines never before seen in my videos! And don’t forget to come back next weekend for a Behind-The-Scenes reel, featuring deleted footage, HD images, and every single take for every crash! Couldn't fit everything all in one sentence, so I'll just split in a few characters on which scenes I like: Edward - I laughed at this scene where he blocked Bill and Ben from crashing into one another and their wheels are still turning!🤣 Henry - The recreated scene of Something in the Air really caught me off guard - though I hope the model wasn't too damaged or was there another model you used as a stunt double. Gordon - the sets for the lead mine and Kirk Ronan station are amazing. Really wish the latter was made in merchandise. Toby - I laughed so hard when the others are shocked out of their wits of him carrying the explosives/rocket while he just strolls contently like the neutral grandpa (oh hey custom Splodge). Duck - loved how you pulled off the crash in A Close Shave.

Thank you SO much for going out of your way to mention all these things! All of those shots are some of my favorites! So glad you laughed at the Edward and Toby shots - they were a lot of fun. The Close Shave crash took 17 takes until I was happy with it, so thanks for noticing! As for Henry - I managed to take his body shell off his chassis for that shot, though it was still a bit nerve-racking. I'm definitely getting more bold with what I put my engines through haha. This project is staring to flatline in terms of views, so this seriously means a lot! I hope you enjoy Part 2 (though please don't feel like you need to comment if you don't want to) :)

Lol yeah, there were some weird quotes in these, but if Sir Topham Hatt says it's canon, then it's canon lol

Goodness! There were so many things in this video that were absolutely fantastic. I’ve seen videos similar like this before, except the viewer never had the option to actually interact with the video itself. There was so much eyecandy in the sets, and the fact that the footage reflected to the dialogue being spoke was fantastic. Have you considered uploading these individual character bios as shorts on KZbin? Or maybe even one big compilation video? Since in Sir Topham Hatt’s acrapbook he also covers some of the Narrow Guage & Jack & Pack characters. Seems like there’s much potential to do more kinds of these videos, which I’m all for!

Aw thank you so much!! This was a super fun project, but it did take a lot of work, so that seriously means a lot to hear. :) And yes! I've uploaded all the shorts individually in a playlist, but unlisted to keep comments turned on... not sure if I'll make them public yet. I'm thinking about doing a Part 3 with the engines I skipped over, like Oliver, Mallard, Bear, etc - though I think I need more engines to fill all 8 slots. I'd definitely love to make more interactive videos - glad to know there's a demand for more! Thanks again!

@@SootyWill I was also amazed by the sheer volume of sets included in this video. I can fully relate to how tiring it is to construct one set, film on it, then within a day, take it down again to build another set so you can film other footage. A third part would be fun, although I suspect you would have to get someone to do the narration for the RWS exclusives. Maybe you could do some human or road characters to fill out the empty spaces? After all, they did narrate bios for the likes of Cranky, Bertie & Topham.

I have the road vehicles on my list of potential characters too... I'll have to think about it! Thanks again for commenting! It means a lot :)

@@SootyWill Heh yeah, I know. Now this is the video was National Train Day and Thomas & Friends. Well, I have many of my favorite Thomas & Friends characters. This Interactive Character Part 1 video of my favorite gallery are Thom, Eddie, Henny, Gordy, Jamey-Boi, PerPer, Tobrownie and Duck (Yes, I've called those 7 engines nicknames I like to put on them. Except for Duck that I can't give a nickname) I'll go watch the part 2 and comment it 😋👍✨

I got alot to say for this: 1. I like how you did with the scenery 2.The recreation of episodes was amazing 3. Some parts made me laugh for example the part where James favorite spot is the wash down area which made me laugh and Toby bringing explosives that was so hilarious 4. And it's amazing... yep it's amazing

Nice. Do you think I can narrate in one of the films you post? I said to Sidekickjason that I could use his script of Bertie's Haunted House he said the go ahead for me and couldn't wait to see what it would look like.

@@SootyWill Well I didn't ask if you'd try to voice one of the TUGS Characters when not giving you the lines a few Americans have some ability to try UK accents to play them. Are you interested to try voicing them or not? I didn't ask Tom Marshall if he could voice them because I don't know if he ever tried.

Absolutely. He was a very underrated narrator and voice actor for Thomas. I hope more people discover just how good he was and how much Thomas content he was in.
