Bumper Quick Release Install (For MOST Vehicles) - Hyundai Veloster

A video MANY people have requested! Installing a bumper quick release on the Hyundai Veloster. While we used a specific car for this video, if you're finding this video by chance, this install process is very similar for MOST cars out there.
Product was universal with exception of brackets that were made custom. eBay or Amazon will be your friend for this one.

We use vasoline to mark spots. It does not dry and if you mess up while trying to align it you can wipe it off, and re apply to get right spots. As you can tell from red paint it got smudged.. Where is the correct spot? No one will know..

the white peice you have by the bracket mine is rusted too and so my bumper won’t sit right and it sags too. 14:29

Hey bro been watching your Sonata vids and they been helpful. I got a suggestion, can you PLEASE figure out a way to get LED turn signal/brake for those of us with the 2022. Hyundai cheaped out and got rid of the LEDs. Been looking for a solution for so long. I would appreciate it a lot!

I've attempted a few things including the swapping to the Euro/KDM taillights but the wiring on those is a bit different. Currently, your best bet is to buy LED bulbs to replace the normal bulbs and make sure to install a CANBUS decoder to avoid hyperflashing. I'll keep open to the idea and hope something pops up eventually.

Hey there, I have a veloster 2015 turbo (based in canada). I came across your channel and all your tips and tricks have been super helpful. I was wondering if you could give me any advice since I can’t find the answer anywhere. I have been having an issue with the radio, where it doesn’t work when I start up the engine and I need to turn it off then start it up again so it could work. Would you happen to know what I could do or what’s the issue?

That's annoying I bet. If this is something it does often, it may be an issue with the radio itself. The only other thing it could be is if the system isn't getting power from time to time, then there could be a faulty connection. It doesn't hurt to check that first but it would require removing the stereo and checking the power lead.

instead of drilling the hole behind the bracket you could just trim the bolt to length

Most brackets are universal and will require some sort of modification to make sure the mounting points line up. The choice here was to custom make one that would be a bit easier for the overall install.

Why does the Veloster need two quick release because the genesis coupe needs just one on each side.

It doesn't, that's personal preference but the bumper isn't light by any means. It was preference to use two on each side. You can use one on each side. There are still clips under the headlights that should assist with holding the bumper up.

Thanks for the info. I have a Hyundai azera and if I do the quick release I would be the first so I want to make the right decision before i drill the hole.

The kit itself was made with help from someone so it's not wide produced. You basically need to buy a quick release kit online and make some mounting plates yourself sadly.
