the coolest thing about the throne world thing is this: *she didnt seem to expect it, or even know that she had it.* this means 1 of 2 things, either: a) she is more powerful than she expected herself to be, and made it in a panic naturally when going into shock or something. b) when she cast xivu arath out of her throne world, she actually claimed that throne world as her own, and not only saved her from death, but also helped us find a permanent answer to xivu, as banishing her was only a temporary solution.

I'm sorry but killing off a character and inmediately showing them to be alive instead of building up the mystery and doubt is the exact opposite of good narrative. Add to that the fact that Eris conveniently forgot the fact that she can use stasis, and Drifter forgot that he's a lightbearer, and none of this makes sense the moment you apply the smallest bit of logic. I'll be the first to praise Bungie for the things they do well. This is not one of them. Missing dialogue, opening scene made out of entirely recicled cutscenes sloppily put together (a scene of the thralls running even repeats itself twice back to back), bad narrative, 3 plot holes (so far), conection and stability issues for hours despite having less players than any other content release to date, so it cannot be excused as overloaded servers, the nether having a gamebreaking bug that completely nullifies the main mechanic of the mode, a gamebreaking bug that blocks progression during the intro mission, etc, etc.

@@voltus20 haven't ran into a single "Gamebreaking bug", recap cutscenes always use old ones, this isn't new, narrative is FAR from and haven't noticed a single plothole. The Missing Dialogue is ENTIRELY out of Bungie's control because of the SAG-AFTRA strikes so the Xivu Arath and Sloane VAs are not doing VA work currently, which results in portions of their VA being missing. most guardians don't use their powers consistently in lore, even we don't because in lore they can't just be spammed. Also logically using Stasis on a Stasis subjugator would be stupid cuz it'd prob just ignore it, and it didn't use it's powers either.

I do mostly like the narrative but her death was revealed to be a fakeout faster than a Marvel movie. IMO We shouldn't have seen Eris in a throne world until way later so we can actually have a second to feel even a fraction of what the drifter is feeling. It would've felt super rushed to just kill her day 1 and then timegate the story, but it wasn't even a new cutscene before we realized she's not dead lol. Very odd to show us that, have us pay respects and listen to the Drifter carry on like we didn't just see her cackling. Flying enemy horde spam with homing machine guns that swarm you immediately. Suicide Chargers that spawn a suicide bomber worm on death each of which ticks for a quarter of your health and is fast enough to out-speed me while I have tranversives and amplified. Logged in for the first time since final shape and none of this does it for me personally, it’s sad I love Destiny and want to play it but this just sucks imo. If they were going to have Eris “die” don’t immediately undercut it by showing she’s alive then have everyone act sad when we know she’s literally fine. The new activity is straight ass, I finished it once and never want to play it ever again.

The Nether is a complete waste of time. Tried doing it 4 times and nobody knew what to do and would get lost, abandoning the activity. I once waited in an empty instance of The Nether after my teammates left to see if anyone else would be added to the session who might know what to do, and they didn't. The gate with the chains and sigils is the biggest culprit. The Nether really does need a Map.

A lot of people are saying it's Eris' own throne world OR Xivu's vacant one, BUT what if it's actually Oryx'. The post Final Shape inkblot style cutscenes hinted at Xivu trying to claim Oryx' sword Willbreaker, and symbolically claim his vacant throne that's been open since his death. But what if Eris a "Hive God" dying in the Dreadnought somehow allowed her to claim the vacant throne of the Taken King. Even worse what if she's trapped there within the bowels of the Dreadnought and we eventually have to try and help her NAVIGATE her way back, and just like Oryx resurrecting Xivu Arath and Savathun by embodying War and Cunning we potentially cause Oryx' resurrection by Navigating his own throne world to free Eris from it. It'd make this the best Episode if it boils down to another Seraph style sacrifice where we are forced to leave Eris so that Oryx stays dead.

Bro...as a lore guy, this is everything I could've wanted in the season already. I remember being on forums back in like 2015-2016 with other lore heads speculating on whether or not Dredgen Yor might have his own Throne World, whether or not a human could even have a Throne World, & how that would be a way they could've brought him back in the story. THIS IS SO HYPE. OF COURSE Eris has a Throne World. She's best friends with Queen Mara, and Mara had an Ahamkara build her a Throne World(before Oryx found it and ruined it.) It's entirely plausible that Mara would tell her how she got Riven to build it, and Eris has been carrying around an Ahamkara bone since her introduction back in The Dark Below! Add to that the fact that she became the Hive god of vengeance in season of the Witch, and it all makes sense!!! See, Bungie? You CAN cook, if you really want to...
