Imagine having to lie down “dead” and there’s ants in the ground. “Guys, can I respawn now?”

@@HM10thFootthis is really cool! Is there a certain age you must be to participate?
@boustrophedon57504 ай бұрын
@@PeanutbutterguyThe2nd Hi! I've participated in reenactment groups before. I do not know if you are referring to the talented people at His Majesty's 10th or just in general, but typically reenactors come in various ages and sizes. There are even some women that play soldiers in some regiments (hair tied in bun under hat or cut short). Typically children as young as 12 can reenact with parent permission as drummers and sometimes soldiers, but some groups do not allow minors under a certain age to carry weapons. Edit: You can actually see women reenactors in this video!

I got a question. When someone pretend to die. Does he chose to do it or is there something hitting him that tell him to pretend to die?
@paulmeyer43410 ай бұрын
People say whenever you see a muzzle flash pointed at you, your dead, but in battles you can’t always see the flash, people just guess when they have been hit like if they have been standing in an easy place to get hit

@@paulmeyer434 thank for answering my question!
@Virtus186310 ай бұрын
As a reenactor it depends, often its up to the individual to pretend to be dead. At bigger events, "deaths" are scripted to reflect the casualties of the actual battle. These decisions are made beforehand by reenacting organizers.
@Virtus186310 ай бұрын
As a reenactor you often play dead when you want to. At bigger events there's more organizing how many are "killed."

I’ve got following auestions about your regimental flag: What is the regimental colour‘s staff diameter? Does the flag itself consist of different parts sewn together or a single piece of fine cloth painted in the right colours? What cloth was used for the flag? Is the staff made from a single piece of wood or pieced together? What kind of wood was used? Thank you for sharing this intense reenactment with us!
@HM10thFoot2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, thank you for watching! Here is the info you asked for. The Staff's diameter is 1.5 inches, made from two pieces of fur wood held together by brass connectors. The flag 6'x6.5' is made from multiple pieces sewn together. We have a nylon set that we use for most events, and a full silk set that we use only on special occasions.

@@HM10thFoot Thank you for answering! I have some more questions…. How are the laceloops made to all be the same size? Form where do you source your drums and how are the buttons at the top of the vents sewn on? And finally, why do some Coats in the video have bastion loops? Thank you for having answered my first message. God save the King !

where could I get all the stuff needed to reenact?
@HM10thFoot11 ай бұрын
Hi Viper, this depends on the unit. The 10th has a majority of equipment and uniforms in house, however we will require you to purchase a tailored uniform if we don’t have one that fits you. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

A company that's been good to me is G Gedney Godwin of Valley Forge, Pa. Mr. Godwin passed some years ago, but his Daughter has carried on the business. Much of their Stuff is hand-made by hobby-craftsmen and a bit expensive, but I can tell you -- my Scottish basket-hilt Broadsword is still going strong after 20=plus years. Just DON"T get in a hurry: ReEnacting is Not an overnight thing.

Hi Azzulin, thank you for watching. It is a setting in the camera that shows the timestamp and for some reason is shows 2019--most likely was manufactured in 2019, but don't worry, this event was in 2022!

Hi Erica, thanks for watching! The original projection was somewhere around 150, though due to the intense heat (over 100 degrees at some points) we would estimate about 100 uniformed regulars.
