I remember my granny praising this to no end. It had finished by the time I was born, but every now and then my granny would bring up Quicksilver and Bunny Carr, who she absolutely loved. ''A real gentleman'' to quote her.

Amazingly this programme last 13 yrs on Tele. Imagine the amount of Dunces appeared on the show in that time. Indeed I remember many of them, Made a show of the Country some of them

What would anyone do with gold pans? Unable to cook with them. Norman playing the organ, give him lessons. He: Where would you find Punch and Judy. She: In a Punch and Judy show. You could not make it up. This is cracking me up some thing serious.

I don't suppose you have any of the RTE One continuity links leading into/out of that recording? According to the copyright date at the end, the programme was made in 1979 - and not 1977/8.

Bunny Carr was incredibly sarcastic and often downright rude to contestants. This was supposed to put them at their ease - but NEVER seemed to work. The musical cues from Norman on his organ were often as obscure and head scratchingly random as those clues on 3-2-1.

It seemed to be the style back then. I remember one host not Carr, teasing the contestant then saying but you didn't come here to be embarrassed. No came the reply. Where do you usually go asked the host.
