Beautiful! The problem I have with tangling is deciding what patterns to use with each other....which tangles look good on the same tile. Can you share information about this?

Suzie, this ist a very good question. I think that it does not depend on the patterns you choose, but rather on how you combine them and how much of embellishments you decide to use. Often it is better not to overdo it. If you have the feeling that there is to much chaos on your tile, you can try to fill some of the fields with black, e.g. "overpaint" the areas which have too much structure. If you have something that should stand out, choose calm patterns to surround it - the eye needs a place to rest. Checkerstar for example is very light and calm. The patterns do not necessarily have to touch - an invisible (white) aura can make two different patterns look good next to each other. Don't forget that your strings are only for your orientation, you don't need to follow them exactly. If you like shading, keep your light source at the same place for the whole tile. Finally, what makes a b/w picture interesting is the balance between black and white: the eye loves something around 70-30

Oh, sorry for my bad English 😅 I mean drawing over a (small) area (containing too many embellishments, for example) in order to make them disappear under the black ink...
