G'day, Have been to Bunya Mt's a number of times, first time in a cabin but then camping I think on the same spot you chose. Among other things you can get seedlings at the store. The one I got in 2005/6? was 6 inches and now about 20ft high.

Haha, well you have to walk very quietly and approach them slowly. But we’ll worth it.
