Great video, we were there a few weeks ago, so many beautiful spots. Yes you are right about the adventures and repairs on the road, but they also make it all part of the trip, as long as no one gets hurt or major damage. Keep up the great videos.

@@RoamingCoastlines a trick that we do for extra water, is we have a 55ltr water tank in the back of the ranger and fill that up when we are out and then pump it back into the van, or just carry another 55ltr if know we will be off grid for a longer period. The second toilet cartridge is the way to go. We have been caravanning for 10 years (holidays) and have just retired early to do long months away trips, and we are still learning, and stuff changes, so don’t be too hard on yourself, just enjoy the memories.

@ thanks guys! I have a 50L tank in the troopy so planning to do what you said when we need the extra water for more remote places. 100% agree, it’s such a learning curve but really enjoyable

It’s always good to see things through fresh eyes 👀 and a different visual view . Remember that caravan aframe will have plenty of inertia built into it when backing on a skew under tension so be wary of the kickback . All in all your making memories and having fun nice episode

Thanks so much mate, appreciate it! Yeah the kick back shocked us the first time it happened. I think we have got our head around it now. So many little things to learn when towing a van. Enjoying the experience but!

It’s definitely a little scary, but in places like this we are so remote and there is barely anyone around. So a lot less riskier than leaving in populated areas. Thanks for watching and stoked you enjoyed it 😊

I’m a novice at this off road caravanning, hopefully not for much longer, from what I’ve watched over the last year or more, is the owners of vans will stop on the corrugated roads and lay under the van to check for any loose nuts, bolts, etc including there cars. Some tape down cupboards and fridge for extra care. Can you carry extra water in either a bladder in the back of the car at kids feet or better a suitable water container. When I had a motor home with a cassette I would place cassette into plastic container with a lid, keeping it secure for carrying until I could empty the thing if there was no was no dump point around me. I now have caravan with compost loo. Your videography is beautiful, worth the effort you put in. I could have watched that night sky for 30 mins..

Mate thanks so much for watching and the comment. Stoked you loved the night sky, I’m loving shooting them at the moment. So glad people appreciate it! It’s crazy how quickly you start to learn all the little tricks with caravans when you’re on the road full time, really enjoying the experience of it. We ended up getting a second cassette. Figured it was worth the outlay. Would love a compositing one but! They definitely seem the best option. Hopefully see you on the road mate!!

On your electrical issues, sounds similar to what we had back in 18/19. I decided it was a connectivity issue and just spread the pins, you will notice the male pins are split in two in the 12 pin, gently and ever so slightly with a small screw driver. Fixed the problem. The intermittent ones are the hardest to find.
@RoamingCoastlines2 ай бұрын
Thanks guys! Thats kinda the conclusion we came too as well. Apparently wriggling them side to side to take the plug out does it. I had never heard that before, so was a good one to learn!

Any room for a water bladder in the troopie?
@RoamingCoastlinesАй бұрын
We have a 45L under body tank in the troopy. We used to use a bladder inside as well when doing trips without the caravan, didn’t bring it away with us but. Been using the underbody one a hell of a lot more now we are in the warm weather of WA

crazy good spots on this one we cant wait till we take off , heading off pre xmas doing a mad dash to tassi in Januray , quick question we are keen to get a drone and camra that will help catch our memories any recomendations on min requirements on quality ect cheers, we are also taking 2 small dogs so will keep watching yous to get some idears for some nice camp spots ect
@RoamingCoastlines2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching mate and taking the time to leave a comment! That must be bloody exciting that you’re leaving soon! With a drone, definitely get a DJI of some form. Any one of the mini line will do a great job for what you want. The camera one is a bit harder. Depends on your experience with cameras/ how much effort you want to put in to learn. The easy option is a GoPro or iPhone. If you want something a bit more legit, I’d look into something like the Sony a6700 (or any of the 6000 line) and something like the 16-50mm kit lens would get you started. Camera questions are always a tricky one to answer. Most of my footage is shot with a DJI Mavic 3, Sony a7iv and a 24-70 2.8 lens
@MAD-HATTER-19962 ай бұрын
@@RoamingCoastlines sweet thanks for the information I will look into it basically after something that will get some 1/2 decent quality photos/videos and a decent drone that can handle the wind so we can put it up over the ocean ect , have never had a good camera but thinking it could be a great idea as a hobby on the road , will google what you have suggested and see how scary the $ is as originally wanted to keep setup around 150k but unfortunately 165/170 is more realistic budget for camera/drone/gopro ect would be 3/5k 😅hopefully achievable otherwise reading books and fishing it will be😂
@RoamingCoastlines2 ай бұрын
@@MAD-HATTER-1996 it all adds up to quickly hey! The DJI mini will do the job 95% of the time and they are a pretty sick price. Definitely get a fly more combo so you have multiple batteries. You go through them like crazy. If you check my first video from the trip around Aus from about 5 weeks ago, that was filmed with 95% GoPro and drone. Give you an idea of what you can achieve with those things. I’ve only recently started using my big camera for the videos. Was trying to keep it more simple at the start
