I absolutely love the realism in your videos, just a bunch of buddies fishing and blowing each other shit. Much respect and keep em coming #tightlines

@@DayOneOutdoors that's a fact Jack! But seriously thank you for your knowledge people don't understand the value of a guides knowledge, to me it's unmeasurable.

Jarrod (sp) is worth the price of admission. No outdoor video should be without him. Didn't know he was a rapper.

I always love bringing him on...just for the comic relief! I tend to be too technical sometimes...and he brings it right back to the fun!

We are typically running 16oz leads! That is because of the heavy currents and other boats nearby!

Just curious can you fish mono effective at buoy 10 or so you need to use braid?
@DayOneOutdoors Жыл бұрын
You bet! I used to run 30lb Maxima hi viz yellow or tuna blue! Braid just allows to run less lead or have out less line!

16oz weight set up has me interested. What speed are you trolling and how much blow back do you experience effecting your depth ?
@DayOneOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
In Astoria, the scope is dependent upon the current at depth! Sometimes we are near straight up and down, and when we are nosed into the current, they are sometimes just barely under the surface! The best thing to do is trust your electronics and change your depth to where the fish are cruising!

Saltist line counter reels???? Thought I was the only person left to keep using those. They have been absolute MONEY!!!!! Finally broke down and cleaned my B10 line counter Saltist this winter. She's good for another 10 years.

Great reels. Best part is they can pick up 40" per crank which is helpful when fishing barbless hooks!

Wait till you see them in the estuaries of creeks that the runs are endangered in .now that will make your blood boil.much as i like them it should be legal to shoot them when they steal from your lines .theyre smart and would soon learn to give man a wide berth like they used to when it was legal to do so.
@stingray45402 жыл бұрын
Why doesn’t every guide carry a shotty with rubber slugs? You could really help with the broken by putting one in their head. It’s legal, use it.
