Omg, I totally agree with you!!! When I first wore BR540, I was head over heels- burnt sugar, cotton candy, something ambery, it was gorgeous. And then... I was watching a lot of video reviews and some people were complaining that all they smelled was medicinal things, like iodine and bandages. Well, next time I wore the perfume, I wanted to cry, all I got was that same medicinal hell people had talked about. I don’t know if I am really easily swayed, but it was really sad. Since then, every time I smell it , it’s the same medical crap. BUT Burberry Her really does smell like BR without the medicinal overtone. Almost bought a bottle and then intense version came out and I have not been able to get my nose on that yet. I think we are a bit behind in the US. Is it worth buying blindly if I know I love the original? I just wish the original had a bit more oomph and projection.

Ulyana, believe it or not but your comment made me happy! I know the feeling you are talking about. It happens to me too (only sometimes thanks God) BR is very strange. My uncle with whom I spend currently my holidays asked me if I know this scent because he actually stopped a woman on the street and asked her about her perfumes and that was BR...First Burberry Her is similar to it but in my opinion the intense version is even better. It's lovely sweet-powdery-fruity with only a hint of PLEASANT medicinal hint that is not as cloying as it is in BR. Hi Yana! I loved your monster impression around 4.44... I have a sample of Baccarat Rouge and it is candy floss meets flowers in a dentists. You describe these fragrances very nicely. I just bought myself the Burberry Her gift set. I went to ulta like once a week to smell this perfume. What started it was when I was at work this woman I walked near just smelled amazing!!! I got the courage to ask what she was wearing and she said Burberry Her. And from that point I went to ulta and tried it and immediately fell in love. finally just ordered it and got it today!!! I’m so in love. It’s such a signature scent every single time I smell it 😍. I can’t wait to wear it from now on!! Plus, you describing the whole reason why it’s signature describes me!!! You are very welcome, glad it is helpful! So I would suggest to try both on your skin and then decide but my fav is definitely the intense one. Maybe it's not the closet but most pleasant and round one

Burberry Her Intense has benzoin smell that I just can't like. I have tried wearing it over the last month. It is interesting but it overwhelms the berries. I have the Burberry Her Blossom, which is nice, flowers, fruit, and marshmallows, and want to try the original. I love Baccarat Rouge 540. I don't smell dentist or bandages.

To my nose there's no comparison between Baccarat Rouge and that Burberry parfum cause the second one is just strawberry!

they are very similar especially in the dry down. in the opening there is much berry aroma. try intense then

I’m doubting whether to purchase Burberry Her or Her Intense. I rather prefer musky or powdery (like chloé Edp) notes of notes that are too sweet or fruity. What would you recommend? Long lasting is definitely a must!!

Look, get the intense or the original one cause they last longer than the floral version. They are not too musky though. Haha wow your feedback made my day, especially about the humor! I personally prefer the intense version, it's smoother a bit less fruity and simply gorgeous. Less BR540 which original is more about (but again a smoother version of Baccarat)

I've smelled the original Burberry Her- not the intense version. It didn't bother me, unlike MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait: it made nauseous and gave me a headache. Thank-you for the reviews, Yana! ♥️

same for me with extrait of baccarat. This intense is so good. No I get people who go crazy about baccarat but only thanks to this line. So weird though, never though I will enjoy such a fragrance. Thanks for commenting, it makes my day!!!

I am a huge fan of the Burberry collections and my absolute favorite is Burberry Weekend for her. My gut instinct told me to purchase that specific one however, they did not have any in stock at the time and so the sales associate introduced me to the new Her collection. I was sold! It smells wonderful but, as you stated it does not last at all!!! I purchased the 3.3 fl oz. and paid a little over $120 for it. I am very unhappy. Not to mention....the sprayer was defective at the very first use so I lost some of it due to the defect in the sprayer. However, I was able to fix the sprayer on my own but I'm out that money now and not happy with this purchase.

I wanted to like the original but I hate strawberry scents and it reminds me of an old body spray called Strawberries n Champagne.. idk if it’s from Victoria’s Secret or Bath n body works. It also has that Barbie doll smell.. whatever that material is. Ughhh I can work with the Blossom EDT lol

I tested it a few days ago at „Müller“ it turned full blown Strawberry/Woody on me. I smelled it on my Jacket 2 Days after very strong. Normally, this type of Fragrance is absolutely not my thing BUT: that woody strawberry confused me so much, that i will definitely buy it👀

@@Tommelise absolutely! Addictive, thats it. I mean , i dont really like it , but i also dont dislike it. Its not that special, but then- i never smelled something similar. I just know, i couldn’t Stop sniffing my arm, because i was so confused. I never smelled the BR540 and never will, because i could never justify to myself spending that amount for Fragrance and you can’t miss what you dont know. I‘m almost sad though. That medicinal Note everyone complains about, is probably right up my ally. I own Midnight Oud by Juliette has a gun, do you know it? In the opening it also smell kind of medicinal and i love it :D

You know, I'd love to sit in on one of those new product meetings. I don't doubt that there is SOME kind of logic behind the names and composition beyond what's trendy and popular, but what it is I can't tell you. What's the mean or median age of the people running the show? Is it just some sort of AI that spits out probabilities and forecasts? Methinks it's closer to the latter. 🖥️ Appreciate the collection overviews Yana, but from personal experience, I know it can be difficult to breakdown a fragrance without wearing it on skin for a solid two weeks. Still, I find the exasperated shouting at the beginning to be more entertaining. 😂😂😂 FAR more entertaining. And speaking of AI, I expect seasonal buying guide video are going to become very popular soon....

Really? I thought she did a great job describing the fragrance notes, the composition and how it wears. Comparing the orinal and the flankers. Yes, she referenced the Baccarat Rouge 540 but it wasn’t a huge leap - they are created by same person and have similar ‘effects’. It helped me to better understand what she was describing. I even did a blind buy of the Burberry Her Intense based on this video. *Thank you Tommelise... subscribed!
