I liked the blouse, cropped pant and jacket in the larger sizes. Good basic timeless pieces which make this edition a worthwhile purchase for me. Thanks for your Burda posts. I look forward to them each month 👍🏻😃

Hi Alisa, I have some questions re Burda mags that I thought I’d ask you rather than post a comment in the main section cos you’re awesome 😉 So, on the cover of October’s it claims to have 175 (or something) patterns but I can only count 99 (or something) inside, where in the heck are the other ones at? I’ve tried googling the question but can’t find anything about it!

@@rhonddalesley you're very sweet to say that I'm awesome (obviously not as awesome as Hila 😍) but sure, I'll answer your question. What I think is happening, is they count each size for each pattern as a separate pattern, which is very naughty. As each individual buying a magazine can only use one size for each pattern (at least for adults) it means the actual number of original patterns is grossly exaggerated... To be honest I never asked that question myself.. I might have seen some Russian vloggers mention it before, so I'll keep my ears peeled. But of course, there aren't 147 patterns in that issue. However the ones that are there are quite nice, at least on my opinion, what do you think? 😘🥰

@@Sloths.and.Orchids Hi, and thanks for your reply, that is indeed VERY naughty of them if that’s what they’re doing! It’s the first time I’ve ever bought the mag (Burda Style) and part of me was attracted to the challenge of tracing the manic maze of patterns lol! I’ve earmarked only 5 I think, the rest I just wouldn’t wear but for £7.50 it’s worth it, I do love the peppermint green they’ve got going on though ❤️

@@rhonddalesley just ignore that deceitful number! If you find that Burda patterns suit your body, you'll have found yourself a gold mine! They keep on top of the latest trends and give you lots of fabric / styling choices.. let's forgive them for exaggerating just a tad, shall we? 😘🥰

You are so right! They do count each individual size as a separate pattern to reach that ridiculous number. Can you imagine actually buying a magazine with that many different sewing patterns - it'd be too much!

Thank you for sharing! That's fantastic: there is three patterns I was looking for: the blazer Holland and Cooper style, a simple skirt for a tapestry fabric and the skirt with two pleats at the front. I save me time for searching individual patterns. And finally a shirt dress in normal sizes. Yeah! a hit for me.

Usually with burda, after 2-3 issues I found nothing of interest, they issue one that is a blast. This time tough... everything is either hideous or reused, and I feel this for a year now. Last november was fantastic, nothing since then
