Very nice tune. Reminds me a bit of the older Burg that I discovered when I first started getting really into hardware only jams. You did a really excellent job here of getting your kick and your bassline to sit nicely and agree with each other. Really adds a nice pumping groove but without having to rely on that overly used sidechain ducking thing. Nice.

thanks a lot matt!! yeah, it is always a challenge matching the kick and bass, one of the harder things actually :) cheers and thanks!!

Love it. Especially love that you're still enjoying the A4, it's one of my favourite synths and I have to say your videos were instrumental in my decision to buy one... A RYTM is next on my wish list too..
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
thanks man! yeah the A4 is really versatile , have been looking at the rytm too but leaning toward the mpc live which makes more sense for me atm... then i could dump the circuit, volca sample and get some more space :-)
@RichardOlpin7 жыл бұрын
MPC Live does look the business, but I just love the whole mentality of the Elektron gear. I have a couple of friends with the whole dark trinity and it's calling me hard . It's like a bloody drug man.. God help me if they ever update the Octatrack.. How many synths does one man need anyway? .. just one more.
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
haha, yeah I feel your pain man :D It's the GAS-devil calling our names. Right now (i might have to regret this later) I feel that im sort of turning into a point where im pretty happy once i can get the MPC live in place.. and from that point on i need to focus on making an album, and NOT buy any more gear during the process :D :D ... haha, we will see how that turns out

Fabulous track mate! I love your stuff and it's nice to see some people know how to maximise their gear. If I could make only one suggestion That would be, keep it breathing...just let things run a bit more simple. It's got the great base and rhythm going....Bring in and drop out things don't let it go so busy. Sorry I don't meant to teach here anything. It's just my thoughts with a lot of respect! And just a quick question.....What mixer and monitors are you using? Thanks!
@PeterStuart07 жыл бұрын
my thoughts exactly. less is more

The envelope on the sampled speech seems a bit edgy and distracts me from the awesome pads at the beginning. And the beat is here... Nice. Do you mix all this later or is it live-mixed? Thanks.
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
thanks! yeah, the sample is chopped up big time in the micgranny so not there is not really much context left (which was the original idea) :D - On the mixing, it's all done on the fly straight down to 2-track, no multitracking on this one, what you hear in the video is exactly how it went down, with hum and noises and all :) cheers !

There just has to be some kind of midi or synth controller shoes out there! Ones that if you pressed down in various ways could alter parameters. If this doesn't exists, I need to start safeguarding the patent!
@RoDo140920116 жыл бұрын
Ok my friend. Your music is fascinating. But.... I will tell you the trought.😆 You do not have shoes because you bought all these instruments but because you have a wife. You betrayed that wedding ring on your hand while you play. So you bought that's all with the mony you hide from her. Now you're making that rhythmic music thinking of running far far away into space. But she is behind the door my friend.... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
