Good work as always!! I was so close to going back to buying another Akai force after selling it at the begining of the year after losing inspiration and midi frustrations. My MPC Live 2 turned up yesterday so spending the day setting up my midi and playing. The built in speaker is a lot better than expected and ideal for just unplugging and sitting there noodling.
@BURG4 жыл бұрын
Big thanks! :) yeah, akai force is a great piece of kit for sure, im assuming the Live is somewhat similar with the upsides of the format and portability :) a nice couch session unit right?
@FrankieWildeDJ4 жыл бұрын
@@BURG Exactly, apart from no 'Arranger' mode on the Live that you now have on the Force but I think this will probably come at some point in the future. Portability on the Live won over me with the speaker and fairly good battery life but they both have the new Multi midi update so thats pretty much the same. I'm happy anyway and feeling creative. I can drive off in my van to the mountains when I go away on my bike and sit on my Live in the back of the van in the evenings to jam. All good.

That sounds awesome! :) Also, id love to have a mountain jam, really need to explore the remote capabilities of some of my gear and get more in touch with nature :D cheers!!

I just bought a KP3 but I am wondering if I should sell it on and invest in an effect pedal instead. Any thoughts would be very appreciated.
@BURG4 жыл бұрын
I do use it from time to time as an insert effect on my mixer for some of my synths. Some fun granular delay and/or reverb washes which are automated. It is very versatile and adds some extra textures on ambient sounds . :) cheers

Awesome music, I get lost in it everytime. Do you or maybe anyone that reads this have any tips to get into making similar music, I’m struggling to find out what to buy for a simple setup. Not necessarily a budget setup but something that covers all the necessary layers.
@BURG4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot!! :) best place to start is to get a good groovebox, elektron digitakt, rytm, deluge, MPC, circuit, maschine + etc to become your main part in the system and grow from that point. There are so many out there so its hard to give a finite recommedation. Check the youtubers, loopop, bobeats and others for inspiration, a lot of nice reviews out there.
