Yeah, because they’re not individuals. They’re big ass corporations pretending to be individuals, and it’s rather cringy how people will legit follow corporations on Twitter for their tweets. Like... y’all do realize you’re basically following a corporation’s account so that they can advertise to you for free, right? How is this such a difficult concept for people to understand- And like... people do realize that when a corporation tweets something, it’s not the entire company, but rather just a Social Media/PR manager, right? Or are people really dumb enough to think that when Wendy’s tweets something, it’s the entire company doing it?

They realize half the reply’s criticizing them are woman? Like the woman know your doing this for a cause but that haven’t noticed that. Smart move would simply be to apologize rn.

@@notcha8080 Actually, all of this was planned out. From tweeting it out on international women’s day, from using twitter, from posting the first tweet without context and providing context in the following thread. It was all to stir up the Twitter shit storm and get everyone’s eyes on their new program. It worked beautifully. So many people were baited and those who express their outrage will only get more eyes on BK. This was masterfully done, and I applaud them for it.

Burger King accurately predicted people wouldn't bother to read their own reply to get the context and the tweet would attract a lot of attention, but they failed to predict that once pointed out, people wouldn't care about it.
