To be fair, anytime I’ve had a regular BK poutine the fries are quite mushy under the curds and gravy. But yes, gravy is typically hot and not so thick.

Speaking of their poutine, I find that after they changed to the box from the oblong tray, that the poutines don’t hold up well when bought as takeout anymore. Seems they become too soggy now

I tried this two days ago, it was actually really good when i got it. I think it's a location based thing. IT was LOADED with cheese curds and the gravy wasn't too salty. Though somehow yours looked both soggy and dry at the same time, lmao. Thanks for the vid!

After watching so many videos from Jesse, there are a few ways to know that it will definitely be a smash beforehand and one them is this: When he tastes the special item/sauce (in that case the hash browns) separately after a few bites, probably to get an idea of why it's not working haha Shame though btw, because it looked good.

I ask for gravy on the side when I get a to go poutine, it helps. Some pro poutine spots will actually just give it out that way.

Mcdonalds and BK sometimes when urgent grab the cheese out the freezer which in turn saps the heat out of the poutine... :( My biggest peeve.

Conversely, McDonald's hashbrowns made into a poutine sound way tastier than their fries poutine. Shoestring fries don't work well for that.

I tried to get this 3 years ago and the bastards wouldn't make it. I'd have to order everything separately and put it together myself, and that's not what I'm paying them for, nah--uh. How could those hashbrowns make it worse??? Were they not fresh perhaps? Because normally they're rocking on their own at least. Honestly it sounds like these would be amazing and not a disappointment. But what would I know, they never did MAKE IT MY WAY when I asked 3 years ago!
