Was reminded of Build a Better Burger at first, which brought back somewhat content childhood memories. I have to agree that the tweezers and conveyor belt kind of detract from what could have been a fun game for kids/families. The concept still seems like a decent one, though. You'd probably need something to push the orders and keep the game moving, though. Otherwise you just try over and over. A "most successfully completed" over "first to complete" would be more interesting to me. Hope someone can take this general idea and run with it for a better game/experience. :(

What about flipping the tweezers "inside out" ? It seems like that might work based on the way Tom was holding them and they flipped open.

I think each ingredient should simply be put in order on the belt and in theory they just slip onto the plate... so the burger should not be assembled on the belt.

That would certainly be a house rule for me. The box showed them putting them all on there, no way to actually catch the burger as it came off.

Have you tried using chopsticks instead of the tweezers that came with the game? It might be a fun way to learn how to use chopsticks.
