Would not recommend this Intake!! The closed system is already way better. If anything get another closed system intake. This causes rough idles on startup and bad mpg because it throws off the air fuel ratios. You run really rich when you throw this on. Other than that great install video!! Love your channel

Same thing could be accomplished by changing only the air filter with a sport one and properly cleaning the MAF sensor !

I did that on my last car. Although it does it a little, this is a much better option. It's drastically different from my K&N drop in..

@@KiesMotorsports2015 335i M-Sport - I have the drop in k&n filter cause my bms stage 1 was throwing codes for the air sensor disappeared as soon as I put it in. Does this mean even with just the stage 1 piggy back tune and this cold air intake I would see some minimal performance increase?

I would only install one unless I knew for sure it works just as well or better than OEM. I’m thinking of getting the m performance exhaust for more sound, not sure if intake is worth the risk yet. I’m worried about fine dust particles and sensors being damaged over long term

Honestly I had it on my 435 and it doesn’t change much when you cruise, but when you’re in sport and hard acceleration, it sounds amazing. It won’t keep going off like a genesis coupe 😂 but if you hit around 4000-5000 rpm’s and shift you’ll definitely get some amazing turbo sounds

Hey I just purchased the intake and tried installing it today. I am on the last step but cannot connect the vacuum line. Did u have a similar experience? I tried for an hour but it seems impossible. I even managed to accidentally snap the clip.

I have a Mishimoto sealed air intake on my N20 and it sounds amazing, I also have a stage 2 tune and full catless quad exhaust that sounds really good too my air intake is already broken in and its very distinct I recommend a Sealed air intake but then again on a 4 cylinder pretty much all yull get is a aftermarket air intake noise their isn't much gain to be made with a 4 cylinder turbo charged car, because the block of a n20 cannot handle a ton of boost like the 6 cylinder trust me ive done the research

Hey Brian I installed my bms Intake in February and I love the sounds but it seems like when I cold start my rpms act a bit funny like a misfire type feeling , my car is completely stock I’m pretty sure that’s because it would need a tune right ?

I would contact BMS and see what they say on it. I don't think a tune would do much, as it would require a lot of custom work.

You can't "void" a warranty, however, if they prove the aftermarket components did damage, they could deny a claim

It may, however, you'll get much better flow. Upgrade that intercooler and you shouldn't have any problems with hot air

I've read and heard that you lose power when you go to the cone intake filters or dci's. Most people on the forums have went back to their stock box after having an aftermarket intake. Can you provide a graph that shows the results of a stock box and your intake numbers??

The 335 feels like my 328 on map 2 on the JB4. 335 is about 300 horsepower and I think the 328 was closer to 240 or so

@@kenlawton1531 a 328i on stage 2 , is close to 335i . but it is allways about how much burden you put on a car by tuning it , a stock 328i will last longer thatn a tuned one , same with a tuned 335i , you get close to M3 levels with a stage 2 , but you compromisse reliability no matter how good and carefuly everything is done it is still far from stock. So yeah. there are 2 cylinders and 1000cc more to the 335 , so it is not realy close to 328 , like 335i being 6 cylinder and same cc with M3 are also not close at all

I have tje 328 x drive 2013 i want to conver my back bumper to an m3 rear bumper but at bmw they only had the single exhaust for 1,200 is there a way i can get the dual exhaust i dont want a cheap ebay exhaust because eventually it will throw a code . Thanks

Hello Bryan, I have a technical question regarding JB4, I just installed my JB4 on my bmw f30 335i year 2013, i was reading on the jb4 website that the jb4 wont kick in until oil temperature reaches 160. My car is european version and the oil temp is in celsius. Will the jb4 not kick in because its not reading in fahrenheit. I have not been able to find anything on bmw forums. I would very much apreciate your inpunt on this, thank you.

Yes Bryan i feel more power and a big difference on comfort mode, i run map 2 today but did not feel more power than map 1 and do have the air intake and exaust, im waiting for an afe catted downpipe but then again i just took it for a ride around the block so probably map 2 did not kick in . Thank you for your answer and maybe you can recomend me a bigger turbo set up. Thank you again !1

Oh good! Yea you should be ok then. Once you get that downpipe, you'll feel a lot more power. Did you order it yet?

This intake is complete faulty engineered garbage...even with the JB4 tune installed it still causes CEL's.. Complete loss of torque (I noticed immediately after install), poor gas mileage, unstable idle...noticed immediately. Do not waste your money.

250-ish miles to a full tank.....it negatively affects the ECU to such a degree plus (2) MAF error codes (P00BD & P0172). I'm back to the stock intake and immediately noticed the difference in performance, fuel economy, idle, and torque. Still running the JB4 tune. I'm not trying to slam BMS but don't put garbage on the market. Our BMW's are expensive enough.
