I had a throat injury when I was younger & never had it fixed, I'm having an upper & lower colonoscopy next month & the Dr. said he plans to stretch my Esophagus while he is in there & he promised I will never have any problems ever again & that I will be able to eat anything in anyway I wish to after he is done, otherwise I can easily have choking issues if I don't chew my food thoroughly & then wash down most bites, because I would love to be able to tear into good food like this more than I do, but that's why I'm so careful with my eating, I did not want to have any choking issues while filming this. But I did keep up with Barry as I finished my 4 sandwiches & fries before he did, which for me was good, normally I would not have eaten so much so quickly.

Loved seeing the old picture of y'all. I've still got both of my parents as well, 84 and 86. They've been married for 65 years coming up later this year. My Dad was from Paris, TN, born in Murray, KY (that was the only closest hospital back then) and mostly raised down in Clarksdale, MS with his two younger brothers. My grandparents always lived in Paris during my lifetime and I first learned to water ski at some lake close by in KY. Wait, it was Kentucky Lake at Paris Landing, duh. Mom is from Selmer, TN and rumor has it she dated Buford Pusser, briefly. (They all say it but she would never admit it, ha ha) Your Pops is the man, let's see more of him setting the bar for us all. My Wife & I are always on the run & at least a couple days a week traveling, and usually have no choice but fast food & Mcdonald's is usually one we choose, I never eat at those places without their apps & Mcds has probably one of the best, you can get a large fry free if you spend $2 or buy a big sandwich or double cheeseburger & get one free, we both have our apps, so what we do to save money, we both place orders on the way there & I pick mine up at the Drive thru, he sets hers for them to bring it out to the car at one of their pickup numbered spots & we save a ton of money this way, also Frisch's offers many deals via email & their app., but no way I'm paying those prices for fast food.

I have been to Saltville several times. Most beautiful area in the Country. My 2nd great grandfather was actually wounded and captured in the Sugar Grove area during Stoneman’s Raid in SW Virginia. The raid culminated to the Second Battle of Saltville. My Grandfather was part of a handpicked 300-man unit that road ahead of the main columns and destroyed railroads and bridges behind Confederate lines. At Glade Springs they poured coal oil over an engine, opened the throttle and set it ablaze. Supposedly it collided into the depot at Saltville and burned it down. His unit ran into a large confederate cavalry unit in Rye Valley in the Sugar Grove area. That’s where he was shot in the hand and slashed with a Sabre. He and 15 of his unit members were captured there. He spent 83 days in captivity in Salisbury Confederate Prison in Salisbury, NC. I spent a lot of time in the area from Kingsport up to Whytheville. I always stayed in Marion as by base of operations. I love that area,

I am a Lexington native. I have been to burgers n shakes 100 times easily. It's nothing special friend. Good fries, decent shakes. Burgers are thin dry but they are charcoal broiled for flavor. There are no tomato or lettuce offered at all. Just onion, pickle and mustard. It's cash only. If your want something good and really good. Go to Hickeys in Portsmouth OH ! Hamburger joint very good awesome atmosphere with tons of historic pictures of the people and town. There is another place there also. Don't remember the name but it's outdoor eating only. Close to the civic center or the Library on the edge of town. Ask around everyone knows where it is
