I know exactly what he means. I lived it! This 80 year old woman misses those days, for sure! The younger black generations of today are regressing all the hard work we've accomplished. "Progressives" of today are actually "Regressives." Don't be fooled! Whatever happened to the proud black community of the 50's and 60's? Whatever happened to the decency? KM, I can tell you what happened...LBJ. When he signed the Civil Rights act he made a racist statement (that I'll not repeat). He said, "We'll have those...voting democrat for the next 200 years". One of my heroes was the late Professor Walter E. Williams and it sadden me deeply when he passed. Rep Owens speaks much as Professor Williams did. The left has taken away the pride of the blacks to keep them under their thumb for votes. There are MANY MANY black people who have done great things and we should celebrate that! Give back the dignity of families so that children will have the guidance of BOTH parents, not single parent households where the parent raising them has to work 2 or 3 jobs just to put food on the table! They deserve that...WE deserve that!

I always thought once they were freed they went right into segregation. I didn't know that segregation started in 1960s. My mind is blown right now. I was never taught this in school. Maybe we would be able to learn this history but there's only one month to learn about African Americans which is a goddamn shame. I don't understand why the black community allows this to happen.
