Well that tire is definitely finished at the beginning. I went to the darkside 10 years ago, and I still get people who say it cannot work, at gas stations, at supermarkets, and even at the Scooting The Ozarks Rally they say it will not work. I guess I missed that memo:)

@jetpowered1 it's not rubbing any where. as far as the turns go. as long as your not speed racing around it's fine. i was getting about 8 to 10,000 miles out of a set of tires. that's not good enough for me.

Don't do it! it's a hand full when new...any speed over 70..i just got tired of putting tires on every season..now i'm used it so when it walks around on the highway it's no big deal...43000.00 on my Burgman

Ok look Burgman riders out there. if you have the MONEY! DO NOT and i'll say it again... do not put a car tire on your bike..because if you are NOT SURE of your riding skills DO NOT GO TO THE DARK SIDE! because at times it is a hand full..it's a CAR tire.. do the math. but i love it.......Bryan

You should have a yellow button on the left lower handle bar. that is marked m/d. manual or auto "drive". the orange up or down button is the shifter. it will not let you shift to soon but will shift down for you at lower speeds. i like to leave it in drive just pasted 45 mph then put it in manual. it locks the trans one to one. other wise the trans goes in and out every time you let off the gas.Thanks for watching!

Did you get any rubbing of the rear tire on the underseat box, particularly while riding two up...and over rough roads? I'm at the end of my second tire and looking to go CT this time. If yours is a 400, what size and brand of tire did you use? Any regrets going with the car tire?

Hey Bryan. I also own a 650 Burgman Executive and motovlog. I'm debating whether to darkside on my Burgman. First, it's tough to find someone to mount the tire. Secondly, I tend to takes turns fairly aggressively. I've been riding for 40 years so I'm pretty seasoned at riding. It appears if you had to do it again, you'd stick with the motorcycle tire? I'm averaging about 7,300 miles on my rear tires. I appreciate your feedback.

What in the hell is that enormous BUMP on the tire at the beginning? Seems to me, the rotating tire & rim ought to look like a smooth circle, shouldn't it? Jeebuz.

Well it does NOT rubbb. that's a good thing..i have over 6k on it.. "IF" i could choose a better tire compound. maybee i wood "not" gone to the dark side..I'm soo sick of changeinging tire^ers.

@mmknorr123 about 90psi and i ended up using spray chain wax around the bead. it gets a little funny above 85 mph. it like to walk around a bit.

off topic; I bought a Burg 650(2011) from an individual with out an owners manual. Could you share with me how to get the transmission into manual mode? You have great videos, kudos

XQCmoi I think you will find that those of us who have installed car tires on the back of our scooters, have not had any handling issues what so ever.

I was told by two cycle shop owners that the tire will ride like crap..I am still mounting one on my 650 Burg. I have to try this and am hoping it won't ride like crap!

K Timco They lied to you! I went to the darkside 10 years ago with my Reflex and had no handling problems, and even rode the dragon with it. I darksided my Silverwing 6 years ago when a brand new Hoop lasted only 4000 miles. I have since put on 30,000 miles on that tire and have been to the Scooting The Ozarks Rally four times with no handling problems at all.

@bryanb1973 The 90psi to seat the tire is typical for seating a car tire on a motorcycle rim. Many times 100psi is needed. I only had to go 63psi to get mine to seat.
