There truly are many black dog stories that are usually passed on by truckers, and from the majority of them it’s said to be a bad omen or a warning to be extra alert and cautious. So this one was taking that to the next level! Taking an ethereal dog and having the serial killer talk about it as if it’s the worst thing you could ever see, when it really was only that to him. Definitely an interesting story, hats off to the author! I really enjoyed this one, as I didn’t see the ending coming aside from a couple details that were mentioned but not really focused on. And to the great Dr Creepen, thank you for your dedication and hours of work you put into these wonderful works, all for our entertainment. We don’t deserve such excellent treatment! But I won’t complain and instead I’ll sit back with my favorite drink and listen…🫡

Hubbard park and castle Craig are in Meriden Connecticut. The local cryptid is the Black Dog. I saw it at castle Craig when I was little. My father upon hearing I wanted permission to follow it into the forest, scooped me up and we left very very quickly. My dad interrogated me over and over asking how many times I saw it. My dad doesn't usually act on superstition. It's eyes did glow yellow, but lots of dog eyes glow when the light hits them right.

Listening as I rest in a debris hut as I clutch my mauser deep in the woods late at night by fire light as a thick and eerie fog rolls in with malevolent apparitions. The coffee in the enameled percolator is fresh and I have 14 days worth of freeze dried rations. I have enough fuel to keep the small fire burning for 12 more hours and I have several emergency candles that will burn for 9 hours each in my windproof lantern.
