BN in Downers Grove, Hinsdale, and Western Springs. November 1991. Metra westbound express train with an E9 meets an eastbound coal train with Oakway SD60s. CBSMF (Chicago Blue Streak Merchandise Forwarder) with SP power. Local at Hinsdale with GATX (ex-Erie Mining) SD38-2 leader. BN road power includes an SD9 on one eastbound freight. Conrail, Santa Fe, and Electro-Motive lease fleet power. Eastbound Metra departing Western Springs with an E9.

Some big Amtrak trains - 17 cars on one of them. Too bad every,single E unit could not be saved. Once a Classic engine like that is gone - it's gone. I read that 58 E units still exist, but don't remember if it was cited whether or not they all are E8s.

Dear Joseph: Thanks for the upload. Can you tell me where I can find more videos of the E9 Units where they use the horns a lot. Why in these videos do they not hardly use there horns? Greetings from Canada!

Paul, I have more videos of the E9s to upload. There are some scenes of them using their horns, so stay tuned. It seems like the express trains used their horns if they were passing another train standing at at a station. Otherwise, you'd hear very little horn on the Chicago-Aurora mainline.
