Burn barrel build. Found this barrel in the bottom of a ravine and repurposed it. I use it for burning yard waste because it gets super hot! and gets rid of debris fast!

After watching this video I made one of these using an ordinary 55 gallon barrel. It works really well and gives off very little smoke before it gets up to temperature. When the fire starts sucking in air I can actually hear a "whirring" sound, and the flames form a distinctive vortex pattern. Great design, thanks for sharing 👍🏽

When he took off running 🏃🏼♂️ 🗣”Nooo come back” 🤣 . Nice barrel 🔥tho light how you cut into barrel for the air flow instead doing the flaps like I’ve seen everybody else do & helped figure out how Ima do my barrels this winter

This is an efficient design. Doesn't require two drums to make. Is this emitting least smoke? I didn't see the burning that much. I hope you can make a long video just showing the barrel burning biomass.

You make that drum look huge! Or is it bigger than 55 gal? ;) I am making one today myself, appreciate the idea on air flow!

...on second thought, that's isn't a normal barrel... what is it?
@Boonerp3 жыл бұрын
@@x7slim8x No it's larger plus I'm 5'6". Which exaggerates things.
@x7slim8x3 жыл бұрын
@@Boonerp gotcha, I'm not much taller at 5'11". It just looked really big! Is it some kind of float or drum for machinery? Looks like it has some sort of guide ribbing or something.

@@x7slim8x It is! No idea I found at the bottom of a ravine. It was sealed and under pressure so a bit dodgy to crack into.

@@Boonerp hahaha did it give you a good hiss when you cracked it open!?!

I've been using them for decades. While his method works, it's not the way I would do one.

*Is that a 110-gallon drum or is he a little person?* 🤔

Does it need holes at bottom

Not necessarily. However more air = more heat. Also rain water can drain out preventing pooling and oxidation. Preserving the life of your barrel.
