I can read over a content area for hours and still get more out of your videos. I’ve seen a bunch of people say this already but you should really teach. You’re awesome at it!

I love seeing all your comments. Thank you for your sweet and kind feedback. I would love to teach one day while being able to retain my own style of sharing knowledge. My style is pretty different than what you might find in a traditional classroom setting, but as a student that never quite fit into the traditional classroom model, I very much enjoy being able to share a different way of approaching, learning and retaining knowledge. We all learn differently and have a unique style- my goal is to empower others to tap into their own unique learning style and discover their own strengths so that they can recognize the tremendous potential and capacity they already have within them. So thank you for being here to study with me and for appreciating these resources. I have put a lot of heart and energy into creating what I hope will continue to be a safe and encouraging place to learn and thrive and I appreciate our shared journey.

Hi Shurla, thank you for taking a moment to connect with me and leave me your kind and sweet feedback. I read each and every comment/note/message I receive and I appreciate them more than words. These notes truly go a long way in reminding me why I began this project and lets me know that my passion and efforts are not in vain. This is such a hard topic for me in terms of if I ever encountered it in the clinical setting. I'd be in tears working with burn patients. Thanks for all of the clarity and helpful tips Miri.
@MiriLee6 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It's a challenging and heartbreaking injury for the patient, families and therapists. The emotional and psychological component is huge and we play such an essential role in helping our patients regain a sense of normalcy and confidence through re-engagement in occupations that are meaningful for them.

Another great video. I like the visual of the white board in the background as a visual reinforcer. While it is not as cute as Stella, it certainly does help for visual memory. Lol. I decided to read the Pedretti chapter on Burns this week instead of the shorter PDF. Although the chapter is rather dense. I'm assuming that the bulk of the chapter that is most important is the OT eval and interventions. I'm looking forward to your next video. 😊
