This is an exceptional video. I’ve been doing kettlebells for a long time and I still learned a lot from this

Great video. Thanks! Today I delivered a micro lesson as part of a training program and decided to use my clubs as the topic. Still amazing how no one has heard of them but is fascinated by them. Discussed order position, inside circle, outside circle and shield cast - even managed to squeeze in the cues you gave taught us! Amazing coach, thanks again Mark.

Saturday's is my circuit style min rest day trying to do 5-6 movements with challenging weight for each in minimal amount of time. Thanks for sharing this . I will try to bring something like this into my training session. BUT 50 min movement is a daunting task !!! Looking forward to working up on this.

I would really enjoy a video or series on transformations ( kinda like Paul Revelia does) using only kettlebells or clubs and how they have a different effect and give a different look than traditional gym or bodybuilding training. Not even sure if it’s possible as diet is such a huge component, but “traditional “ training is what led me to clubs and kettlebells and now I feel and move WAAAY better. It seems like too many people are training only for looks and destroying their body in the process.

You nailed it. You KNOW when you meet someone in real life who lifts heavy, offset stuff on a regular basis. You also know machine monkeys when you meet them. There's a reason tough men avoid farmers and don't mind gym-clowns.

Amazing! I was looking for a way to supplement ring dips that would do both back and core. 5/5

Great variation I hadn't considered. Just did a few sets with my 60 lbs kettle bell. Love the work. 10 mins of that with the 60 is my goal for October. Devastatingly great.

To prepare for 60 minutes of movement, do you map out which moves you will use? Or, do you consider that if you are ready for 60 minutes, that you can choose a different movement "on the fly"?
@jimhambyАй бұрын
I'm with this guy. How would a 30 min or 60 min "set" look? Pacing seems to be a big question as well. Thanks for everything Wildman.
@JamieHaleyyАй бұрын
I think there are benefits to either way. On the one hand having it mapped out means you don't have to think too much, which will be come increasingly harder as you get more tired, so you can focus on your technique, which will also get increasingly harder. Have it written down in front so you don't have to memorise it. You can also be more strategic about how to sequence the exercises to optimise the use and rest of prime movers across exercises. On the other hand, improvising will allow you to adapt in real time to unforseen possibilities, (e.g. your knee feels a bit funny so you might do less squatting/lunging) and play towards what feels good on the day. Of course this approach requires more familiarity with using kettlebells. I think perhaps a good starting point is somewhere in the middle. Map out a plan with general types of movements and then have a list of specific exercises that fall under those movement types. For example you might order some combination of ballistics and grinds for L, R, & 2H (or upper body/lower body dominant) then select the individual exercises as you go through the workout

Agreed - very difficult. Maybe lots of pauses as opposed to rests, but although I can do maybe 30 minutes on that basis that is more than 300 moves in total. 60 minutes?? - no way!

@@prnichobut what are theses movements? Clean and press or squats or snatch
@SoundophiliacАй бұрын
It sure is and it's even a sport people compete in, kettlebell marathons. The competitions are in snatch, one arm long cycle or jerk generally. One movement for an hour, you may switch hands but you can't put the bell down. Wildman's marathon style training is a little different, he alternates hands every minute and movements every two minutes. Every second movement is one arm long cycle and the ones in between something else, cleans, lunges, snatches...
