My take on the increased number of injuries is the specialization of kids sports. So many kids play strictly baseball year round and dont mix up sports and put alot of wear and tear on their elbows, shoulders, etc. at such a young age. The generation where that truly started is getting to the big leagues now and its showing. It is evident in young basketball players as well that played AAU, rec league, high school, etc. and they have stress injuries to their lower bodies at much younger ages.

Dude is one of the best pitchers in the league. I’m so glad he’s part of Baltimore’s organization.

Wow, I never liked that damn pitch clock. Maybe it really IS the faster pace that’s leading to so many injuries. NEEDS TO BE STUDIED IMMEDIATELY. The players and their health is more important than fans wanting a quick game before dinner.

Take a shot every time Corbin says "Ahmm" and you will be hammered before this clip ends.

90 years of pitchers 'not taking a minute between pitches' data suggests not the clock. but if im CB im saying the same thing. Media is so annoying sometimes

in those 90 years pitchers willing took shorter amounts of time between pitches because they werent throwing max effort, there was no spin efficiency metrics, and there was no care for velocity. guys who threw as hard as guys today were built to do it back then. nowadays everyone is throwing nasty pitches at all time great velocities and spin rates, but in order for a player to do that they need more time between pitches to reset, and also not have a mental stress acting on them (seeing numbers tick down can affect heart rate and increase panic, especially at the change of a number of digits or how fast the numbers tick, like including milliseconds for example)
