May God bless you for sharing this. My 5 year old has been mentioning head aches and burning mouth sensations where she would ask for water and drink lots of it. She has been doing gymnastics and I'm not sure if it's because of it that she got it, but I'm glad that I found you and everyones comments encouraging and know that I am not alone. Wow!!!! About 6 months with issues. Like others have said had other diagnose as to , oral thrush. You describe exactly my issue. I was given medicine gabapentin it worked for few days. Currently living with this. Ive had it for 4 years. Literally went to a dentist and she was rough in my mouth in a teeth cleaning and ever since then ive had it. Pain is 10/10 every day it’s literally impossible to live with. Nobody understands either because its so rare. It’s incredibly painful. My throat is always sore too and its so raw. I dont know what specialist to go to. I just want to get this taken care of so i can live my life. My ears are always sore too and i get ear infections all the time. Idk what to do man im lost. I'm really sorry. I have acid reflux. Constant dry mouth, burning sensation and ears feel strange as well. Mines everyday as well. Its so hard to sleep or concentrate on anything. Hi @JerseyGirl, &@nidhi, I have suffered this for well over a year now and, I seen some1 else's comment & they had been 32 years , It is the worst horrible taste, what a found doe,s help is cold water, rinsing your mouth with salt water , the best solution i tried that personally worked and seem to give me relief for a good while was baking soda, in some water, this helps with the pH balance, and having water to hand especially waking up , I have been ridiculed by drs by 1 even laughing and saying it was thrush and it wasn't, I' get thrush a lot due to inhalers, then I came across a natural remedy for thrush , which was a t spoon of baking soda , & some rock salt & a touch lemon juice and mix then brush your tongue with the mixture and your teeth , this worked for me for a good while, it come back , sorry to hear you both feel so ba, I fully relate and I also feel compelled to share with you both, I read , your comments were a while ago , if either of you have found a remedy could you please share. @@Jennsgr8t Hi @ Jenni , I just wrote this the other day and was playing about with some comcusions, home made ones , and I couldn't find this comment to come tell the ingredients I found to really help , I made up another toothpaste and it actually worked, I made up , 2 spoons of ground cloves and half tspoon of bicarbonate soda and a few drops of T Tree oil, and I used a child toothpaste mixed them together and brushed my tongue and teeth and it worked , I made enough to last a week easily , I got instant relief , and now use the mixture 2/3 times a day , I hope this works for you if u try it , the cloves will feel like at first it is burning more , until u rinse with cold water and then afterwards I couldn't believe it myself, I even put 2 drops of the t tree oil just on my toothbrush and used it to brush it gave light relief but then I put the ingredients together and it worked , Best Wishes from Edinburgh.

Try to eliminate all unhealthy things from your diet. Even spicy spices. All bakery products are mainly fermented. Replace wholemeal bread with no yeast. All white ingredients. Start eating sauerkraut, kefir, anything that contains probiotics. Buy extra probiotics at the pharmacy. No sugar. Nothing greasy. Above all, go out and get distracted with different things outdoors. Drink plenty of water. Do not smoke weed or cigarettes. Try to relieve stress. Do not drink sugary drinks. Eat veal or pork liver on fried onions. Preparation is quick to keep them soft. Salt them only at the end .... Lots of green stuff. Lettuce, beets, zucchini, .... Additional vitamins, zinc iron, b complex. Do everything you can to prevent yeast from developing in your body. Chew sugar-free chigumi and drink plenty of water. Somehow this is how I deal with the symptom of burning mouth, tongue and nose. The symptoms are relieved, but if I break, they reappear. Don't look too much into the phone. Make sure the cervical vertebrae are flexible. .... good luck!

No reply from you... but thought I would share my latest experience. I went to a new chiropractor today. We watched this video together which he enjoyed. He found some instability in my c-spine and worked with that. We got a good adjustment on affected side. He said it may take a few days for things to sink in and I'm going back weekly for a bit to try and nip this thing in the butt. There is a fellow who does injections but we're going to try this first. BMS sucks. It's one of the weirdest things. I'm hoping this works and in turn helps people suffering. Thank you for your video!!!! Finally feel like there might be a cure/fix that nothing else was working. Thank Dr Hauser. I will post here with results of upcoming weeks results. :)

I do have to mention that I think it was a chiropractor who may have initially hurt me with a rather violent neck adjustment last summer. He was new to me and came recommended, but it was horrible. Luckily yesterday I believe I found my guy! So be careful folks when it comes to neck manipulation. Maybe that's what began this whole thing in the first place. I don't know...

I felt the need to write this. I really thought I had this, and all the symptoms pointed to it and my extremely active lifestyle (C-Spine). Well I ended up MRI and have a tumor. It's rather big and I am getting surgery. Tumor... not cancer. But still needs to come out. Get that "you know what" out of here! So this isn't to scare you, but know that it is possible. :)

I too found out from an MRI that I have a tumor on my neck. They biopsied it and it is not cancer, but it is on my neck in my parotid gland. I asked the radiologist if there are nerves in it or next to it and he said LOTS.

I am so happy I found this video. I've been suffering from BMS for couple months now. Mainly tongue and roof of mouth. Have had some ear/hearing issues. That was actually first. I did the uvula flashlight test and sure enough it was not normal. Question, do you know of anyone in New Mexico who could maybe help me out? OR Colorado second choice. I went in a week ago for a crown prep for a back lower molar that was not bothering me, years and years old, mostly filling but a crown was recommended by my dentist. Two days later my mouth was on fire, ears ached and sore throat. Went to doctor as was a weekend, prescribed Amoxicillin for ear and sinus infection. Did some research and found BMS. Went back to dentist and she agreed that was what I have. Prescribed Clonazepam .125 disintegrating tablet 3 times a day. So far not seeing any improvement. Got the new crown yesterday. I am miserable. Pain pills do nothing. Unable to eat or sleep.

And my taste is like someone who has had Covid, nothing tastes right. No cure for that. Ended up getting a root canal on the tooth. It’s been one ongoing issue after another, but my mouth does not burn!

I’ve had this since I was little…at it’s worst I can drop down to 111lbs can’t really get above 125. Everyone thinks I just can’t eat a lot…they think a lot of things because I can barely get the energy to work 40 hours a week. it’s really embarrassing on dates. I’m actually always starving but the memory of pain makes me not eat. This is just compounding as I also almost lost both my feet to 5 deadly infections under the skin, rupturing the dermis and weeping cracking and blistering for years, my feet are covered with painful scars. I also get random anaphylaxis, no idea why, Only mildly allergic to tree pollens. I’ve blacked out in the shower and woke up face down in my waste…no health insurance. I’m Lovin it.

Thank-you for your video. I've had BMS for 2.5 months. Started after I bit down on a chewy candy on a silver filling (20 year old and has never given me problems) Have had a toothache and BMS since. All dentists have said the tooth is fine and it's not the filling. But it feels like the metallic taste is originating at the filling. Meanwhile, I have a burning tongue on and off, bitter taste and dry feeling mouth. From your experience, could I have BMS b/c of a filling? Even though it appears to be fine and intact? Or might it just be the trigger? I also have TMJ and issues with clenching/grinding. Getting a mouth guard made. Very curious about prolotherapy. If I lived in Florida I would come see you! Maybe I'll make the trip if I can't get any answers!

Hi Juniper Berry, So sorry to hear about your ongoing mouth and jaw pain! Once a patient has been cleared by a dentist that the tooth is ok, then other opinions can be sought to try and get to the bottom of what is going on. With the head/neck, if more symptoms start appearing or becoming more pronounced, then an evaluation for upper cervical instability may be warranted. As I am tapering off 2 mg of xanax I can feel the BMS rearing its ugly head. I will never use benzo's again.

Hi. I know you can’t give medical advice in KZbin comments but I have had burning in the tip of my tongue for 2 whole days after having a difficult dental filling in my rear molar. Im a immune suppressed late 20’s male. I saw in your videos you said that’s indicative of facial nerve irritation. But is my case atypical? Should I have hope that things will resolve by waiting a few weeks as my dentist said. Nerve irritation usually solves itself is what I was told. Or would this warrant a second opinion?

I have had BMS for 6 years and can deal with it without medication. I think a lot of us grind our teeth at night and the tongue thrust is particularly strong. If I breathe through my mouth...the burn is waaay less. I try to stop my tongue from thrusting during quiet periods of the day but do think that this, coupled with grinding teeth may have caused this problem in nerves being out of whack. Of course, not many of us will have luck with finding someone who can help us with this specific therapy. Please, perhaps take us through some stretching exercises to incorporate In to our day. @@MoDiva38 hi there! I abandoned all meds and started to just accept it. CBT sort of helped. Try some mindfulness techniques. If mine gets to bad, I breathe through my mouth as I notice that I touch my inner lip with the tip of my tongue. Perhaps it is reaction to our own acids that we might be allergic to...but really. No meds have helped me. It lives with me and I do not let it be of importance. Get on with your life, sip drinks when you can and chew a strong sugarless gum to cool your mouth. Also try to cut carbs and sugar. Certain foods of that kind would result in a stronger burn. Some lipsticks also irritate me...so try to listen more to your body. I once knew of a practioner who did N.O.T treatment. Sadly he no longer practises but I am sure he worked on my vagus nerve to treat other ailments. Good Luck!

I have had BMS for a few years. It started when I got a new pair of dentures. My primary said the new material caused my mouth to be allergic to it. I usually rinse with salt water and it helps a little. It will go away and comes back. Doctor ordered a mouth rinse that would give me moderate relief. Nothing seems to cure it. My problems with this began in June 20. In hindsight I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that prior to this I was under chiropractic care. I have always had issues with my upper/mid back being adjusted. No chiropractor has every been able to adjust/crack it. However, on my last visit with the doc, in May ‘20, he was able to adjust it. It was a major release. I remember feeling electricity go all through my body. Literally 2/3 weeks later this sensation in my mouth started.

Cut back on dairy, sugars and spices. Here are the 2 quick fixes. Chewing on CELERY and sucking on sugarless candy (Werther's sugar free candy is the go to).😁😁

You need stomach acid to get B12 absorbed. I use apple cider vinegar and water
