hey the original heatshrink that is on my battery has a few cuts and tears and I see moisture in it. can I remove the clear shrink wrap on it and then use the black tape and then the plastic dip? these arent lipo though; im just starting out; there venon 4200 batteries

Ranger another thing you can do is check each individual cell to see if, it's giving you the total load of voltage it's supposed to. If you don't already have it go to a hobby shop and get the cell tester it's like 5.00-10.00 bucks. If your battery has external damage (not extreme) but you have the voltage capacity evenly distributed through the battery you should be good to go. Good luck

use hull tape for boats.. or aka hockey tape. waaaay stickier than electrical tape. even sticks to wet surfaces. check it out.
