Hate me all you want. But this makes me cry. With only around 2000 of these made, why not keep it stock and just find a S10/GMC and do all the "mods" to that? There's plenty of parts out there, but only so many of the Sy's, especially "survivors". But its his truck...he can do what he wants....just not what I would do.

yep ya got me on the numbers....I think I had just watched Jay Leno's video where he quotes numbers...maybe I got it wrong from him too...still, 2000 or 3000...not nearly enough to be chopping them up like this....they even make aftermarket ground effect kits for "look alikes". I always wanted to do a custom 4door "tyclone" with a modified body kit, AWD and a V8. I had a 85 blazer as a teenager with the 2.8....what a dog, but loved the way it looked...still love the flying bricks. I even raced a Sy with my slightly modded Nissan 720d back in 92....it was worth the 20bucks just to see that thing DUST my truck...which actually was faster than most stock v8 mustangs at the time....oh well...again...its his truck...but if it were mine I would be very carefully returning it to stock, and putting all the go fast stuff on my tyclone 4door....lol.....gotta be different...I almost bought a real typhoon a few years ago, but didnt because I WANT to mod one. I have had SHOs, currently have a Lincoln MKVIII...all low production number cars, but nothing as low as those old bricks....hell...according to jay leno, he bought his Sy and it was HIS daily driver for several years...out of all the cars he had....he chose THAT as a DD....that says ALOT to me. Not a huge fan of Leno as an entertainer, but mad respect for his auto collection.....

all typhoons and syclones came with a 4.3 turbo ONLY. turbo regals, monte carlos, grand prixs, and trans ams came with the 3.8. and yes there were turbo versions of all theses cars.
