With all due respect, you wouldn't be the first wife to sell off vehicles for pennies on the dollar. My advice to all non-car people: If you end up stuck with a vehicle to sell (inherited or otherwise), please do your research. You're not doing yourself nor your family any favors by selling a vehicle terribly underpriced.

Tonight I could even bring myself to put the line to my stomach for my insulin pump. I know my liver is failing me and when i end up in the hospital i am in pain that i cant even describe. I have been fighting this illness for 14 years. I run my own small garage door and electrical company by myself. I have a truck that needs more work and money then i have. Also my 4 year old son is everything to me. I just wanted to say thank you. I have a treatment tomorrow but i dont know how it will go but i hope you keep dreaming and building everything you have ever wanted. Maybe you could do a burn out and pray for me.

Growing up my Saturday mornings included Power Block TV and you have replaced that. I appreciate your videos so much. I look forward to Saturday mornings when I can relax with a nice cup of coffee and enjoy your weekly Legit StreetCars video on my computer at my desk or my phone if I am out and about. This is also the case (most of the time) when I am not relaxing but working at my desk on Saturday morning after a week that I may have fallen behind in my business or something has popped up that I need to deal with. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every week and even being something good to balance Saturday morning. I just about peed my pants when I saw the thumbnail this morning! I have been rooting for you to get a typhoon ever since I started watching your channel years ago. I owned a 93 black typhoon and sold it to a cop in Chicago when I was a grad student and couldn’t afford the constant maintenance costs. It was the coolest Daily driver on the road. I share in your disappointment about not completing the sale as of yet, and I urge the owner of the 92 typhoon that you’re interested in to do the right thing and sell it to someone who will cherish and baby it. They are so rare. You realize, however that because of your video you will now spark newfound interest in cyclones and typhoons and cause a worldwide price increase on the remaining examples😅. Good luck on your search. By the way, that moth ball smell is probably a blown heater core in your passenger wheel well

My first car purchase, a 1989 Chevy Blazer S-10 in dark Navy blue with lighter blue interior; alloy rims with the alloy spare in the back. I even had it custom pin-striped. Damn, I miss that car. V-6 Vortec engine; carbureted. Nice driver...comfortable...roomy...great in the snow. Car never missed a beat and I took care of it for years; put about 160K miles on it while in the Navy. Finally gave it to my dad after 8 years of bliss. He put another 300K miles on it, before we called it quits with that terrific S-10.

Damn, was really pulling for you on this thing! I went to school with Bob Marley Jr and his brother Rohan used to come pick him up in his Typhoon and it was an awesome car. A buddy of ours had an older brother who had a mini S10/15 Dually which was crazy for its day (like 1987-ish) and unique. It moved, but nothing like the Typhoon. There were a few Cyclones here in South Florida (close to Miami) being as this was the Mecca for cool cars, and so many people had 60's mustangs, Camaros, trans-ams, and for some odd reason, and tons of Detomaso Panera's (still see a couple on occasion) parked in driveways so dads could rebuild and restore them with their sons. twas a really cool time to live here. Wishing you luck that they call to sell you this truck.

Had a coworker that for YEARS daily drove a custom built early 90’s turbo v6 s-10 because he was so in love w syclones/typhoons… Everything was modified on it, even got some 2nd hand cladding on the sides and an aftermarket steering wheel that looked similar to the syclone/typhoon one to make it look the part, bed was tubbed and huge slicks for the track…well, one day he finally found himself an actual typhoon… Kinda same scenario, seen it for a while at a shop, he’s a mechanic, owner didn’t wanna sell just had this n that to fix…eventuallly he got the call like 2 years later and bought it Had it fixed and running within weeks, and I don’t remember ever seeing him drive the s10 again, only ever saw him in the typhoon with a huge grin from ear to ear EVERY DAY Good luck w that truck if he does sell it We all know u deserve a win like that, and honestly that color combo is nice, and we know I’ll definitely give that truck the lightning treatment(or pretty close)

@legitstreetcars I grew up really close to where that was originally sold. Heath, Ohio. I probably visited that at the dealership when I was 12. I'm really happy for you. This is an awesome find. Stinks that the engine needs replaced but otherwise..... amazing 👏

I had a 1992 S-10 Blazer 2WD with a digital dash in High School/College in 2002 to 2005. That was an excellent truck. Easy to fix issues yourself like with the CPI and nut kit. That truck was a smooth ride and drove excellent. I even drove 120mph for 45 min straight down I-65 with it all the way to Purdue. I would install the Digitial Dash in that as the 1st thing I do. I would also install an original delco tape deck radio with bluetooth added.

That Typhoon is so awesome... Also, the LS in the Porsche sounds so great. It's hard to believe it's actually "just" an LS! Don't get me wrong, LSs (sssSSsSS) sound great, but that exhaust makes it sound very different and cool compared to others. I'm guessing it's also the cam, it's got a nice lope at idle as well.

No winners in the rev-battle, they both sound awesome. Extra flamboyance points for shooting flames to the McLaren obviously.

Make your own like Stay Tuned made their own Version. Maybe buy a TBSS and then when you buy the gmc there can be a comparison plus race. A “what GM did 15 years later”

This was an excellent episode. I loved how it showed how car guys are just car guys. A Typhoon, an LS swapped Porsche, and a custom McLaren all in the same video because that's what car guys do!

I had a '94 Blazer handed to me for free by a family member in the early 2000's. Only thing not neglected were oil changes. Got everything up to snuff maintenance/repair wise, including some steering and suspension joints, got the rear defroster running (fixed a bunch of the lines with those repair kits). Even fixed the non cancelling turn signal with a Dorman kit, lol. Fully sorted, everything working on a 10-15 y.o. Blazer, a great vehicle, especially in the winter with the 4WD and remote starter. Kept it for a bunch of years, but got tired of fixing the fuel lines a section at a time. Should have just replaced all of them at once. You live and learn. Should have kept it longer. Good memories. Thanks for reading.

That interior giving me vibes of my first ride, 90 Chevy S-10 blazer 4.3L - such a great truck, was built like a tank and I never got stuck anywhere in New England.

I had a regular 91 S15 Jimmy and I miss it soooo much. That thing was a tank. At the time, I didn't know about the Typhoon. I used to really overload it with merchandise for my parents store and it never complained going up steep hills.

Love the video and the quest for the GM turbo V-6 cars. I used to live in Naperville. I would have thumb wrestled you for that Typhoon. (if it was available) I peeked at a few Typhoon ads and they all show the Syclone intake.

Gotta go with the Porsche for the REV challenge. The fire out the pipes almost got me, but the Porsche sound was solid gold. But if it were a "Looks" challenge? That shiny McLaren stole the show. Seriously pretty car. Ok, I'm at 28 min in the video, and I REALLY want this guy to call you back to say he will sell you the Typhoon! Call back man!

Very cool, Alex. I have a few suggestions for a project, since you are into GM stuff. 1. El Camino SS396 2. El Camino SS454 3. 67-69 Camaro Z/28 4. Yenko Camaro tribute (would need to use a 69 Camaro) Hope you get the phone call, but the above could be terrific, as well. Finding one of the above at a reasonable price and in need of being massaged into top condition will be a challenge, to be sure.

I think he's holding out because he has a one of a kind pair. (Typhoon and Cyclone) Together they are worth more to the right person than if they were sold separately. So, try and buy them both so you not only have a pair but you will have a pair that actually run and drive and will look good!

I think the best solution here is to have the owner of the Typhoon hire you Alex as the mechanic to work on the van, that way he can see the work you do, you can make videos on it, and once it's done he might be more willing to part with it for a reasonable price!
