This has been a really hard want of mine for a long time. Im really glad I got the chance to own one for a while. I really wish it had a touch more forgiving image, and locking turrets. Beyond that tho its really nice, despite its short comings. I really hope Burris comes out with a new one of these one day...

Honestly, I preferred the old format. This is just my opinion but I think the video felt like it was bouncing back and forth between each topic. The old format I thought made more sense for reviews. Still a great video with great in-depth details and information.

@C_DOES I like the old format better, the comparisons at the end really are amazing tho. Gives great perspective. Woth the old format the the detail at different ranges is really nice. I think how you did the Primary Arms Prism comparison is the best though. Comparing at different ranges at the same time really gives a nice way to choose especially if it's a debate about cost.

I would love to see a review on the XTR III 3.3-18. My favorite scope for that magnification range.

I bought a XTR II 4-20X50 MRAD version the other day. Brand new. Great deal. $555 delivered. Did some research. And the scope is made in the Philippines but has Japanese glass. I also picked up a Discovery cantilever scope mount. Like their scope rings you reviewed the other day. It is an amazing mount for the money. And it was $33.00 delivered. Light and strong.

Yes! I have been waiting for a XTR iii review for a couple years. I get the feeling C will like everything about it except no locking turrets. Though the windage is capped!

I have been waiting for you to review this scope because i own an XTR II 5x25. I agree with your findings. Also, on the 5x25, the picture seems a bit dark. Especially at higher magnifications. I have it on a ruger precision rifle and have been debating putting this scope on a different rifle and purchasing maybe a NF ATACR 5x25 for the RPR. Love your reviews though. Very informative and helpful in making a new scope purchase! Also, i didn't mind the format change. I like your videos either way. Keep up the good work!

I like the head to head comparisons. There are ALOT of factors to consider in each scope and it’s easy to lose track of the priorities, so I really like when you compare scopes. It clarifies things. Many words used to describe a scope in a review might be subjective, but a head to head comparison puts things in clear perspective.

I appreciate your educated reviews, especially on MPVO’s. 30 years ago the best compromise using 3x technology was a 3-9 scope. Now that we have 6x and beyond technology, all the emphasis has been on going up 3-18x, 4-24x, 5-30x etc. But the reality is, for self defense, tactical or hunting situations, being able to make a quick shot at closer distances is much more important and critical. Learning to shoot moving targets and shoot while moving is more difficult than a static target at 500 yards. I think most of my rifles benefit from having a 1.5 or 2x magnification on the low end and whatever I can get on the high end is gravy. I’m constantly looking for the best bang for the buck 2-10x, 1.5-8x scope. Right now it is hard to beat a Vortex Gen2 1-6.

I'm very curious to see a comparison between the Warhawk 2-10 and Helos 2-12. The price difference is negligible with a mil discount, but the Athlon has been out of stock for a few months. Wonder if it's worth waiting for the Athlon or just snagging the Warhawk

I personally bought the swampfox 1 to 10 and I prefer the swampfox durability factor as I've had athlon optics and there good on a bench. However in the field they failed me on a few hunting trips that costs me 2 deer.

Burris is never on my radar.....nothing against them...but I find it really ...distasteful to try to sell perceived value...... because for years these things always "on sale" like 3 times less then the msrp hahaha....don't try to dupe people into thinking they are getting a 1500 dollar optic for 600 hahahaha...
