Burrito à la Jim -- Porkin' Across America -- Ep. 3

  Рет қаралды 380,732

The Onion

11 жыл бұрын

It's a Kitchen Takeover as Jim makes his own carnitas burrito at La Playita in Wilmington, North Carolina. The newly single pork man has a lot on his plate, and we're not just talking about pork! He's also frantically looking for someone to move his car before the parking structure it's parked in is blown up almost a thousand miles away. And Jim gets more than he bargains for when he finally samples his handiwork.

@@firemonkey1015 Honestly it's most of all the people around him are being huge dicks. His wife is a complete tool who can't think on her own, and literally screws him in every way just because he didn't drop his entire show to drive back home, to do something that any functioning adult should have been able to do themselves. The friend that doesn't wanna move his car because he "doesn't want to take sides" is a complete dickhead too. Even if Jim is a terrible friend, the least you can do in that situation is save his car, i mean the dude has been through enough already. And then there's the restaurant guy who not only rolls up the burrito for him, full well knowing it has bones in it, but then sits there and lets him eat it too.

'this one is a la Jim' may be the most hilarious thing ever. He has the corny joke cracking host down perfect. The director and really the whole crew deserve a lot of credit for this. It is so much like the generic and predictable shows on Food Network but far more entertaining. Not that I dislike Food Network, but lets be real, they have one formula and style they use on 80% of their shows. The Onion never really figured out the whole YT thing and what content people want but it seems like around this time was great. It is a shame they switched gears. "Porkin' Across America" "Sex House" and "Lake Dredge Appraisal" are some of the best things on YT, in my opinion.
