Burt is one of the best music composers in American history. However I have a bit of a problem with this show. He cited Alfie as his best because of the lyrics. Burt did not write the lyrics. I am quite surprised that he never mentions Hal David, who was the lyricist for most of Burt's big smash hits, including Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head and too many more to mention! C'mon, Burt! You are great but Hal David wrote " Are we meant to take more than we give?" !

Burt é um dos maiores (se não o maior) compositor que conheço. É uma pessoa extremamente simples e humilde. É óbvio que nunca o faz por maldade. As pessoas insistem em mencionar o letrista sempre , mas se esquecem de que as pessoas gostam mesmo é DA MÚSICA DELE.

I doubt that it was intentional. I think he knew that all the interviewers knew that Hal wrote all the lyrics to his songs

Bacharach - great composer, but absolutely no "husband material". If he could become younger, he would have divorced all his wives again. Empty phrases.. but I appreciate his music a lot.

Cansou de dizer isso: Hal David escrevia a letra (fácil ter inspiração com músicas tão bonitas assim) e simplesmente terminava o serviço dele. Enquanto isso, Bacharach tinha de escrever os arranjos, ensaiar e o tempo de dedicação à música infinitamente maior que o de todos os envolvidos. Compreendeu?????????????
