BURT MYERS WINS SEASON OPENER AT BOWMAN GRAY AFTER MID RACE CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER DRIVER

Burt Myers jumped over to a different radio frequency about halfway through the season opening Hayes Jewelers 200 Saturday night to have a quick conversation while under caution with his son, Slate Myers, who drives the number 6 modified at Bowman Gray.
The younger Myers asked his dad at the end of the conversation, "are you gonna win?" The answer was soon evident; a resounding yes. Burt Myers led every lap, holding off Tim Brown at the end to win his 11th season opener.

Looks like it will be a BurtMyers-Tim Brown Showdown Season,as it has been for years,a great rivalry,they both come loaded for bear every week.Glad to see Slate getting the feel of being in a full race with some of the best modified drivers there are,he will soon be a pebble in their shoe.As for Jason ,he's like a rattlesnake,ready to strike given the chance.
