So cool to see the drivers interaction with you. They were so proud to show off their buses. Talking shop with everyone. Such a learning experience. Friendship shared by all.

That new song is awesome Scott. He did a Great job with it. Not much I to bluegrass affecianado but this song is really a gem. You and your son are really making a huge impact for people with these old rigs. Such beautiful machinery should be cherished and treated right. And you guys are doing that in spades. They are rolling museum pieces. Cheers

The 1976 MCI 5B at 47:29 was my family's bus. We did the original conversion from passenger bus to motor home. A family project from 1989 until we sold it after my father's passing in 2014

AWESOME VIDEO!! Thank you for showing all the beautiful buses in one video. I don't know which one I like the best. Not many hour long KZbin videos keep my interest like this one did, I didn't leave my seat the whole time. Thank you and all the owners for the video tours.

Holy cow, what a gathering and how I love that bluegrass muzak. A friend (who has long ago passed) and I played bluegrass music and folk songs, he on his 12 string guitar and me on my 5 string banjo and love every song played. I sure do like the arrangement on that song he did for you and boy that fella can sing. Look like a great time all the way around.

35:45 you can have it reprogrammed to be a straight 500. The way it works, when cruise is on, it allows full horse power. It was for fleet trucks, to encourage drivers to use cruise control for fuel economy. BGM has the DDEC 4 cartridge, they should be able to do it for you on the pro link.
@eddieb42273 жыл бұрын
The reason for the increased horsepower was because the ddec is using all of the inputs from the engine sensors. So it would derate automatically if anything was abnormal. Just like fire commander would override the derate and auto shutdown when pumping water. The only thing that would shut it down was a pump high temp.
@user-ln7of9gs4s3 жыл бұрын
@@eddieb4227 i don’t think we’re on the same page. The 470/500 can be a simple 500 if you just select it in the engine rating. It has nothing to do with input sensors. The only things the variable rating is looking for is cruise control actively enabled. If you own your truck, bus, what ever, there really is no need for a variable HP setting. There are different levels, ie 370/400, 430/470, etc it just depends on your engine ratings.
@eddieb42273 жыл бұрын
@@user-ln7of9gs4s we are on the same thought process. I was only stating why the system allows the higher horsepower. I agree with what you said. In the video they stated they didn't understand why it gives more horsepower in cruise control.

Beautiful buses, always a pleasure. I still have the bus I lived in for numerous years but now it's rotting in my front yard, an early 70s Ford with a straight 6 turbo Diesel up front. Pro advise, Don’t mean to should you but you should really invest in non woven geo textile fabrics. Figure your drainage then cover all driving areas with the fabric then 3/4” base over the fabric. Compact and cover with veg oil. The fabric will pay for it self by preventing base course loss from sinking in the mud.
