I have watched mini bus conversions over the last three years and this is by far the number one. The only regret is I wish they would’ve gone a little slower on the finish project walked around the whole bus slowly and then walk through it slowly. That full view of the bus slowly done is like the icing on the cake. But no matter this was still by far the best ever. Congratulations you have completed a beautiful beautiful job!!!!

Wow, what an eye-opener for me! I recently purchased a 34-foot 1966 International "Rolling Home" with a raised roof. The raise was done in the late 1970s and I wasn't there to witness the event but this video made it all very real for me. My rig is a little more elaborate in that there are actually three roof levels (not two) because the rear one-third of the bus was raised even higher to accommodate the second-floor Master Bedroom. I am rebuilding this wonderful relic and adding many modern upgrades, such as a composting system, mini-split system, roof deck, rear deck, bay window and possibly a hot tub. This video is a great inspiration for me and thanks for posting!

This took a lot of time, patience and effort the labor rate alone would be insane on this build
@eddiespagetti83953 жыл бұрын
Labour ? We that know how , we do it all ourself. A friend or 2 to help. Yes your so right , if we has to pay a welder fabrication and pay tradesman , wow that would cost well over 100 grand to build I. Labour alone I'm sure. That's why it's best to build your own. Build it strong like this. Today's coach's are so cheaply made. Class a RVs are so weak. This is made to last. Best RV you could possibly have right here
@intuitivebreach89693 жыл бұрын
@@eddiespagetti8395 True. If a person buys a pre-built RV, their going to spend a lot of labor time repairing it after every trip, might as well build it with a strong foundation yourself. The pre-built are made so fragile, it's a quick buck for the seller.
@eddiespagetti83953 жыл бұрын
@@intuitivebreach8969 oh yes I see it all around me. I live in am RV resort. Motorhomes and RV trailers . Many new ones I find leaks and show clueless owners their brand new 150 thousand dollar trailer has leaks. I find many screws uncaulked and terrible job from factory on caulk. Silicone is not good caulk. Worst thing am RV owner can do is use silicone caulk. It doesn't even seal or bond to fiberglass or metal the way polyurethane does. Walls made out of crap wood , it's useually 1 inch by 3 inch wood is very weak . RVs need to be built like a house , made to last. Wise man builds his own tiny home on a frame with wheels to make it mobile . Even the RV trailer frames are mostly Mickey mouse light gauge metal and can not handle the weight of a strong build . Most likely custom frame is needed with at least dual or triple axel go bear that heavy weight . RVs are so weak . I can find leaks in evey RV literally evey one will have a leak of some kind. Minor drips but still.a drip is a leak. A drip is what causes long term damages.
@intuitivebreach89693 жыл бұрын
@@eddiespagetti8395 I knew about the issue, but I didn't know it was that bad; it's definitely worse than I thought. Also part of the reason I have been looking for a short school bus or shuttle bus to convert and build from the ground up. I've walked inside pre-builds and almost all the material looks like a fake make believe plastic wood. Nothing that is truly sturdy. If you've ever seen a semi-tractor (13'6ft) going under a low clearance rail road bridge (11-12'6ft) and watch how the trailer receives an immidiate shave on impact as the top peeles all the way back, that's how I imagine a pre-built RV lol.
@eddiespagetti83953 жыл бұрын
@@intuitivebreach8969 oh ya. You know it. Like peel a lid off a can of oysters. So easily peels apart. RVs are so weak. Great you know this truth and a school bus is great project. They are made heavy duty Frame and meant for mileage. Custom make your home and use quality wood And that schoolie will out last any RV without a doubt. I think schoolies are best way to have an RV, live in rv. When you live In a reg class a like I do you learn just how weak these RVs are as well. Everything is made to break and be replaced. Big buisness. A schoolie that is built strong will outlast ANY brand name RV or trailer on market..sad many people spend big money on rv and really think they have a quality unit . So foolish really. New does not mean quality. Even quality as the dealer says quality built is a LIE. There are NO heavy duty made strong ,made to last rv on earth . Yuppies think their new RV is so good. So nice and Shiney , look at it shine . This is how nightmares started. From RVs and clueless owners believe they have a solid RV.
