I took a yoga retreat in Tulum as well and had never really taken yoga prior to that. Boy was I sore. But it was lovely and I returned about 5 years later to do another. My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Mexico, and you are absolutely right... No more dangerous than anywhere else. Considering all the shootings we've had in random locations as of late, I actually felt just fine in Mexico. The people and the culture are beautiful and amazing.

The first retreat was Maya Tulum and the second retreat was La Calma! Both truly amazing but also very different. Maya Tulum was also a wellness spa so we received massage each day, it was right on the beach so we got to swim, take walks. La Calma was literally in the jungle. We had a private chef and the resort was only the 10 of us on the retreat (no other guests). We were not directly near the beach but we walked to the cenotes right by our place and did snorkeling and then we had a private driver take us where we wanted to go during the day. We spent most of our days in Tulum and and Akumal Beach (snorkeling with the sea turtles). Really lovely. My next adventure (1) does not involve yoga and (2) does involve my husband and that is trekking the Inca Trail to get to Machu Picchu! So excited.

This wasn’t intense. It was really laid back and felt like a vacation still. Most of the women were like me and not very experienced with yoga which was great. We were all learning together!

So handy to watch!!! Im 28, but I find alot of your tips so handy! Im going to my sister-in-laws graduation in poland in the end of june and Rhodos,Greece in august. Greece is gonna be all about the Beach, at a GORG hotell and there is an Ala-carte restaurant there so I do need some nice dresses, and jumpsuits and stuff. Thinking of bringing a midi dress with long sleves and a thin jumpsuit in summery printa both places acually. And after your shorts suit, Ive bought a white blazer to go with a white high waited shorts with a tie on the waist. Have the shorts in black too😅 this spring I just really wanna buy more basics that I love and can be more timeless. Ive allways gotten Jean shorts wear them å year or two. Gained weight- bought new stuff.. now I just wanna simplyfie and make it easier. I am a flowershop manager in Norway, and I WORK A LOT! so my uniform is anything all Black (all so from when I worked at mac cosmetics) and often I need to be wearing clothes that "I dont care about" if i get floral glue on the garment og cut into it or what ever. But Im really glad I found your channal a few months ago! BUT IM REALLY STRUGGELING with bikini and stuff.. I think I an Apple shape.. I have lost å fra kilos with just changeing my diet, but not working out cuz i aint gt the time !! WHAT KIND of bikini do I choose?! And Im apart of the itty-bitty-titti-comeety😂😂 SO i do need some hold in the cups!! (If not I look like a 12 years old😂😂🤣🤣) Id appericiate the help!!

I have that Nordstrom black dress! Love it! Hang dry. And I'm 5'5" and sized down to a medium as many reviewers recommended so it wouldn't be too long. I'm pear shaped size 12 bottom and b cup and it was fine since the dress shape is billowy 😍 And I love your red printed pants. I have a similar pair from WalMart believe it or not. If I feel like I'm showing you much leg, I just tie the hem at the ankle and they don't get as caught in the wind! TFS 😊😎

It was lovely but when back at our resort I literally rolled my clothes off my body and was so happy to be back in air condoning!!! Busbee Style That is what I do. But I do like to sit on the beach so I will use an umbrella and use as strong Sun screen. However my skin is so white and pasty and my legs look splotchy so I have been trying to find a good self Tanner. Many KZbin ers have been recommending loving tan. About the altar dark in could not notice anything. Do you know of any good self tanners are would you recommend getting a spray tan

Hi Erin, love your work and your style but am wondering - do you not sew? A little rehemming here, a little sewn in press stud there can make your clothes look tailor made without having to resort to 4 inch platforms or cami's underneath......;)

I really do not mind wearing wedges. I like to feel taller. I used to sew when I was young, but I do not sew anymore. We stayed at Amansala Eco Chic Resort, but I might consider a place with AC as sleeping was tough without it. I would go back if it were just me, but not with the hubs to this exact resort.

YEs...love that choker! I spent two decades traveling and sailing the Yucatan...Cancun /Isla Mujeres south all the way to Guatemala. I learned that if you do not participate in the drug scene and if you are a young woman staying at a resort and are careful about what you drink...bottled unopened until at your table beverages are safest.These days sadly there are incidents every year of young women being drugged..some men too to be robbed by resort employees associated with gangs. However, not accepting drinks from strangers and being careful about bartenders as well, one can go safely...dont hitchhike, all the same precautions as anywhere goes...just because it is casual and beautiful does not mean you can throw good sense to the wind. THe area isnt a Disney park, though sometimes can resemble one for beauty... except IT is for real.

It’s 1, 2, 3, 4 not normal sizing. So 1 is XS/S 2 is like a S/M ... make sense? Ted Baker uses its own sizing system and that’s how I got tripped up

OMGoodness, please don’t tell people to travel to Mexico! That was your choice but it is far less safe than NYC. It’s not just the media but many government law enforcement agencies that have warned people over and over again.

London just overtook NYC in crime stats and last I checked, we don't have burned and dismembered bodies strewn about by cartel members plus kidnappings a la Acapulco. Mexico had 30k murders last year, we had less than 300.

Gosh, I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I watch you and admire your advice However I was taken aback by your comments on NYC. I guess it was needed for some people. I just wish we could get to the point as Americans that when visiting other places in the world, we don't have to comment on danger. I am a black American who in most of my career settings I have been the only person of color. Sometimes. I have faced offhand racist comments. I have never said to my friends or family that I felt in danger though it did saddened me to feel invisible in lots of these settings.

Hey sweet girl... are you referring to my comment about the “bad parts of NYC?” I did not specify an area or reference anything specific so I’m having a hard time understanding how that is offensive. I lived in NYC for a long time and there were definitely moments and places where I did not feel safe. I had a very bad experience one night in a neighborhood that is up and coming and touted as mostly safe. My point is, the media hypes the bad stuff, but in general... as long as you use common sense, I found this area of Mexico to be very safe. Make sense?

I kind of feel like this woman’s comment was invalidated by the responses that followed. Her opinion is valid. It’s annoying and insensitive to give excuses, clarification etc. we as white people have a ways to go when it comes to listening to black people.

Y"all I guess the comment made me feel like you are going to a place where the "other" people live. I envision a world where we don't have to mention it. I plan to go to school tomorrow, do I need to mention it's safe. I will retire with 38 years as a school-based speech pathologist, I guess I want my studentts to be fearless. There are dangerous places everywhere and by saying “dangerous parts of NYC” by no means did I mean to imply that had anything to do with black people. I’m really sorry if you felt that way. I think (to your point) school can be dangerous, driving a car can be dangerous, walking out the door can be dangerous. My point was that there is danger anywhere and everywhere and you should not live in fear. I hope that clears things up and thank you for sharing your thoughts. Erin xo
