Wait a minute, so Cincy Metro's buses don't have right side mirrors?... They use a CCTV monitor camera to rely on what objects and obstructions are on their right side. That is wild! Don't think I could trust that system all to well. Gotta have physical evidence rather than computer screen images.

If you think our buses are archaic despite being in a rich country, the answer is in your question itself. The US is a place where very few upper and even middle income people use public transportation (except in cities like New York and Chicago), so public transit infrastructure is not always as "developed" as you would expect or compared to other countries
