Heard about what happened to East Yorkshire Motors albeit a few years ago, it's very sad but I would imagine that the family, behind the company did all they could financially to remain independent until it was no longer viable to do so. Let's hope the Go Ahead buyout means both company and jobs are more stable and secure, under the new operating name of Go East Yorkshire! 🤞🏻

I think it was down to the owner retiring rather than the company being in trouble. I was also under the impression that they were continuing to trade as 'East Yorkshire' under the over view of Go North East.

EYMS has gone to a VERY GOOD OWNER who will keep the identity of EYMS and build on the company’s successes. The Go-Ahead group are the best group to sell to if you’re going to sell. Rest assured with the Go Ahead group the future of EYMS as a separate identity is secure. Had it gone to Arriva on the other hand ............ Well it’s best I say no more. Suffice to say take a look at everything else they’ve bought
