On Monday, the American Civil Liberties Union and Human Rights Watch called on Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor who would investigate the crimes detailed in the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on the program. On Monday, The New York Times editorial board called for a full and independent criminal investigation. We put the question about prosecution to Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, who served as chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell from 2002 to 2005.

Just SOME of the torture by the CIA included} Rectal feeding & rehydration was commonplace. Many suffered rectal prolapses as a consequence. Some were forced to stand for hours with broken ankles. Detainees were waterboarded hung by their wrist, placed in ice water baths, deprived of sleep for up to 180 hours, & placed in coffins. Most importantly, the report concluded that at no time did torture produce intelligence that averted a terror attack. the report added that at least 26 detainees were wrongly held. Entirely innocent, in other words. How could this NOT be a crime in the United States? The CIA raped, tortured, abducted, & killed across the world in a hatred-fuelled rampage, & have faced no consequences whatsoever. This means that any politician wishing to restart the torture can do so, knowing full-well that those who did it before are all still there, ready to go. The "water boarding torture story" is a feel good story where we can pretend that it was the very bad thing we were doing. Our troops were straight up murdering people and breaking their bones and doing far worse things than water boarding. There were death squads of Iraqi' Shiites trained by US operatives who tortured and executed people in the thousands. There was a very good reason the Sunni's had enough and revolted. When the Sunnis in Iraq called the Sons of Iraq who numbered over 100 thousand many with military training joined American forces to fight out the foreign fighter deals were made to keep them on an affordable payroll for peace. The Nouri al-Maliki government who General Petraeus warned G W Bush about never intended to keep paying the Sunni's was totally corrupt and no respect for the American war effort of lives lost. he fucked everything up but perhaps with neoconservative approval. he stayed in power because the more powerful American government allowed him to fuck it all up. The water boarding issue should be forgotten and the mass murder issue is way more important and the needless loss of American lives in a war fought not to win but to drag on.

Until last year KBR had exclusive rights to provide food, shelter, laundry services and transport to US forces serving in Iraq. At the time of the outbreaks KBR was controlled by Halliburton, the former employer of vice president Dick Cheney. Independent Pentagon auditors found that at camp Q-West, a base 40 miles south of Mosul, KBR added chlorine to wastewater before distributing it for personal hygiene. At another base, Camp Ar Ramadi in Anbar province, 45% of soldiers surveyed said their personal hygiene water had an unusual odour or colour. The tests were carried out between March 2004 and January 2006. Allegations of unsafe water supplies in Iraq first emerged during hearings held by Senate Democrats more than two years ago. KBR has angered Republicans as well as Democrats in Washington thanks to recent sexual assault and tax evasion scandals.

If minor players who made war crimes had trial in Hague, this people should also be incarcarated. Million civilians died only in Iraq and Afghanistan, a lot more elsewhere. We've seen prison at Kabul airport and photos from other places where people go dissapear!

The international committee on war,crimes in the Hague has jurisdiction over & hears testimony on violating international incidents such as starting wars, ect & remember remember, the statute of limitations never runs on war crimes,such as ex pres Bush,& vp Cheney committed so 5hey,should be brought before this tribunal in,the,Hague to,show,cause why,chgs shouldn't be brought against them.
