Bro!!!!! Love this! My pop made a living doing timber milling from his property with a blitz truck! I never saw it move till one day he walked off with his battery and a jug of water for the radiator, we did a couple laps of the cow paddock I was riding shot gun and couldn’t wipe the grin off my dial! This is a tear jerker as crazy as that may sound for others. His was a 350 Chev not a 6 cylinder

That truck is easier to say make it run than most motor vehicles on today's market, it is so suppose simple that a child can do it, guarantee. When you get an old engine like that if you want it to fire up quick, just remove the spark plugs, put some oil in the cylinders and dump a little gas thru the carburator and you will be smiling very real fast, I have been doing that thru my entire life and I am an old man now but love every minute when I get to see thos very old vehicles that helped me provide for my family, nice going guys, please keep up the good work and "ENJOY WHILE IT LAST" most kind of you to shear it with us.

Tried starting one of these with my Dad after sitting for 25 years or so. It had been changed over to a chev blue flame engine and all it needed was the carby cleaned out (the air filter had disintegrated) and a bit of oil in the cylinders. Nothing else! Started straight up as if it were parked yesterday. Just sat there and idled away perfectly. Unfortunately the clutch was stuck so it couldn't be driven.

These GM trucks were very sturdy vehicles that were applied for various military applications during the war. I know they were built in the US, Canada and I am guessing in the UK (by Bedford) and Australia?? If someone can provide more information on that. The straight six engine would be the same as that of the GM "New Design" trucks of the 1950's. But it would also be the same unit used in Bedford trucks of the 1960's, 70's, as GM owns Vauxhall motors (UK) and Bedford is associated with Vauxhall. Anyway, they all seem to have a lot of similar parts.
