Beetle spin lures are my favorite to use in my area, I also like the super rooster tail spinners. They don’t twist your line and you can order directly from there website or bass pro site. I catch bass, perch, and crappie. Oklahoma is my state.

I like the set up!!! I like that you included safety kit and bug spray not just fishing gear. The only thing that I think I would add is some sort of stringer..besides that Great kit!

I live in Alabama and I would add a small hand held garden trowel and rake for digging bait. I also get fish oil capsules from the vitamin section at Walmart or a drug store to act as a fish attractant, I just poke a hole in them and squirt the oil onto a lure or just put them on a hook as bait. Anise oil works too. I pack a telescoping cane pole and or a Zebco Dock Demon with a closed face reel. I also use a metal snap hook chain fish stringer which can also be used as an adjustable pot hanger over a fire. I would add a flexible cutting board , a filet knife , and a pair of catfish skinning pliers.

Being a Michigan implant that grew into maturity in NW Iowa, I can see where your kit is established. Perch, Bass, Bluegill, and Crappies were always our targets. And don't forget Bullheads and Catfish!... easy to catch and good protein. Stationery baits are probably the most preferred in a survival kit type of scenario. Hooks on weighted lines with natural baits (worms, grubs, bugs), or the same fished under floats (bobbers) would always be the first way to go, in my opinion. And if you could find a way to capture minnows (trap, netting, etc)... that would increase the chances of catching many of those targeted fish. You seem to have what I would consider the basics for lures, etc in the kit. I personally don't care for Berkley GULP products... I do however like the spray-on attractants for all plastics. You have a good terminal tackle kit... hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc. Those few hard baits and spinners might be just the thing as well. Good to go! Have you ever heard of Yo-Yo reels? They are the ticket!... I always place one or two into my kits. They fish for you while you are off doing other important things. Thanks CP!... a great video. You also seem to be a litter more chipper these days... that is good to know, brother.

I do have a couple Yo-Yo reels. They're in my bug out bag, but yeah that would be a great addition to a kit like this.

I like the idea of a concept pack or haversack. Spider wire 15 pound test would be my choice for the hand reel. It's the same diameter as 6 pound monofilament. If I remember correctly. It casts very well.

I'd add some bank line and maybe some treble hooks. Other than that, I'd say it is pretty good.

Great video, i got a fishing kit in my haversack and just the other day I made a fishing haversack too. Two items I have in mine that you might consider is a stringer and a little fillet knife. I also keep a small sandwich baggie for guts for bait for fishing or for traps. Great video and thanks for sharing it with us.

Beetle spin baits are weedless and I've caught fresh and saltwater fish on 3 continents with them. The small and medium work well for me. Cheers

A pin size rod and reel combo might be a good thing to have.

First comment. Woohoo. Always look forward to your new videos. Great to see you enjoying yourself.i usually fish for pan fish/crappie and perch. Small mouth bass and trout are always a bonus if I catch them. Cheers from your Canadian subscriber

Great concept! I’m not a hardcore fisherman either but it looked pretty good to me! I saw a Naked and Afraid episode once where the girl brought a mosquito net as her one item and they used it as a way to fish for little fish, it was interesting.

A small net might fit. That would be a great addition for catching minnows for bait.
