Bushcraft Shelter In The Rain - Window Shutter Making - Foraging & Cooking - Frame Making (Part 12)

Bushcraft Shelter In The Rain - In part 12 of this series I built a window shutter using reed, wood, and cordage. Stone fireplace cooking - Black locust flower fritters. Drawing a bluebird and making a wooden frame for it - Enjoying the rain and a cup of tea - No talking, only peaceful nature sounds.
* Black locust flower fritters recipe - pick some fresh black locust flower clusters, wash them well. Make a batter using flour mixed with milk (I used coconut milk), egg, some sugar or a natural sweetener, a bit of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Dip the flowers in batter until they are well covered on all sides. Deep fry them. Let them sit on paper napkins after you take them out of the oil, this way the excess oil will be absorbed. Sprinkle some coconut flakes on top.

Another nice video - thanks for sharing. I read what you wrote about work - I'm old-school, taught "work hard, play hard", which is what I've done all my life. At retirement age now so don't even need to work, but still do, while also taking time to hike/backpack/camp, and spend numerous hours doing things I enjoy. There was SO much I enjoyed in this video! First the shot of you through the window with the sound of the rain hitting the roof. Next the addition of those two tiki lamps really added some ambiance. The cooking is always first class. Then you pull out your inner Nagualero and draw and paint this beautiful blue bird. Lovely drawing Johanna - is there no end to your talents? 😊 The fritters looked nice. The Black Locust tree is not native to the UK and therefore not a common tree but I have made similar fritters using Elder Flowers and they were delicious. I would echo your thoughts in the notes. When I leave work I leave work at work. In my lifetime I have had many hobbies, some which have come and gone but others that have remained. I like creating things and enjoy the sense of achievement when I complete a project or have taken a photograph that I am happy with. My favourite hobbies also take me into the outdoors. What better way to spend your spare time, better than TV or the pub! Thank you for the video and take care.

Not at all Johanna... it's a pleasure to "compose" comments... 🤗 Have you tried water colour painting...? I think it's the best way to picture nature... because it is to REPRESENT something in 2 dimetion support, with all the expression that water it's self comes with, by leting it do the job in some kind of out of control dinamic... instead of REPRODUCING nature in this case. I switch one thing to the other and it gave me a lot of satisfaction because the perfection of reality has a beauty, and the expressive imperfection of painting has another beauty... Cheers...
