Practicing bushcraft skills at my long-term shelter in the woods. On this trip, I made a wooden comb. I split a piece of hardwood using a machete knife. I carved the comb using a Karesuando Axe and my Moraknive carving knife. I used the Kohlrosing technique for the first time: engraving a leaf pattern on the comb using a knife, oil, cinnamon, and coffee powder. I made a simple tripod for campfire cooking. I prepared green beans with garlic dressing and millet polenta for dinner. I drank ginger and linden flower tea while enjoying the soothing sounds of the rain. No talking, only peaceful nature sounds.
