Stoked your making videos again sir. I watched all your old ones and enjoyed them as well as learned a few things. As for the people that think they know everything and want to criticize other videos...I guess if an argument is the only type of attention they can get its better than nothing to them. Keep the video goodness coming man. Thanks. DirTy

He already has a foled saw! How much more energy did he expend to make the bow saw? All the things he eventually did with the bow saw could be done easily with the folded saw.

I see that everybody is about to worry you to death with questions... well, I have one more: What is the best brand of bow-saw "blade" to buy? The one you use looks like a real good one! It remains sharp through a LOT of cutting! (I watched the full videos series and came back to this one to post this question.) I appreciate your videos. They help so many people. (Including THIS old dog! ;-)

Good accent, where do you come from? at first i thought it was somewhere south of sunderland, then i thought wales somewhere? anyway thanks for showing me how to make a saw...
@codycampbell356210 жыл бұрын
The whole point of making the handle is to save weight and space while hiking. What I don't get it once you make it with wood, you either disassemble it before continuing or defeat the purpose of not bringing the steel handle. Still, say your steel handle breaks for some unfortunate reason... its cool to know how to deal with it. Thanks!
@Smokingfeatherwalks12 жыл бұрын
Great one!
@LordIsaacofGlencoe12 жыл бұрын
you can buy many saw blades, but how many handles do you want to carry for when the one you have breaks. it saves weight. like we say in the Marine Corps. "Ounces equals pounds, and pounds equal pain."
@psycho127913 жыл бұрын
i first saw these on a smaller channel, i will post the same comment assuming this is the official one, is there any way to make a useful cutting tool using just things you find lying around? using a knife at maximum? im just asking for the "stuck in the wilderness" scenario since id prefer not to carry a saw blade around everywhere

Impressive but too much potential for wounding oneself in the field. Better to carry a folding saw or home made buck saw. Safer I think

the steel handle doesnt weigh that much , makes the job easier. in this scenario , you be using this saw everyday nice large alice pack.
@sarvejitsingh580510 жыл бұрын
YOU were doing brientley before 4;08,the wood will weaken if you saw into it[SMALL LIGHT NOTCHES WILL BE SUFFIENT on the outside of the wood keeping the ends strong] ,PUTTING YOU SAFETY AT WRISK,sawing into the woods is optionel ,you can use a wire or rope, {behind the nut and bolts as a safety mechanism} secured tightly ,or even to hold all the saw blade to the hazel wood, the circle DIEMETER needs to have more of a curve [more function means more usefullnes or even to hold it with 2 hands,2persons 1 on each end, EASE OF USE making it user friendley]yes your wright about how you store the blade [thanks for the tip] KEEPING in mind all this depends on the wood your useing HOPE THIS HELPS you all please repley soon when your in the woods??

@psycho1279 take up and practice flint knapping, even just knapping a sharp edge off a larger paice of stone will be able to process a paice of green wood up to 4-5 inches if you kinda "beaver chew" it
@killadingahopper13 жыл бұрын
that would have sucked if you broke it when bending it really far down but nice guide
