Took hike in the woods on this rainy day. Where I hide under my tarp shelter from the rain. Where I enjoyed hot drink and listen to the rain landing on the tarp and trees.

1) Keep tarp rolled up with ten feet of cord on each corner, stuffed into the left bottle pocket of pack. 2) Pull out and tie up tarp in less than 30 seconds. 3) Be dry.

I have been solo hiking for over 45 years now & one of the many reasons I take to the woods is because I do not want to hear the voices of others nor the barking of their dogs. The sounds of rain drops on the forest floor,bird song ,the chatter of the chipmunks . Sometimes if I am quite enough I can almost hear the trees talking to each other..........peace to you.....
