I can't express how much joy I just got from watching you do something that you love. Being in the wild especially with Aika who is such a great and loyal dog. She is so full of happiness and has so much love for you. Don't worry about having some help while filming. Totally understandable since you are still getting back to your full strength. I'm always amazed at the amount of green moss present in the forest - even during the winter months. So green. We have nothing like it here in the high desert. Looks like Aika is a fine companion and very responsive to your voice. I'm glad that you could go camping again. Another fine video, Vanessa!

Love your videos. I can tell how much you enjoy the outdoors and how hard it has been for you to not be able to get out much. Don't push yourself too hard. Remember what you said at the beginning of this video--make it easy on yourself at the beginning of the adventure. Save your strength for when it gets rough.

That location is very beautiful. It's a picture-perfect area for a campsite. It makes me wish that I could get outside and set up a tent, or tarp shelter, of my own. It's been nearly thirty years since my last weekend camping trip. I had bronchitis at the time, but nothing was going to stop me from going. Sitting around the campfire until late into the night seemed to actually help me to get rid of my cough. Even though it rained in the early morning and cut the trip short, I felt 100% better by the time I bot back home.

It is wonderful to see you looking so well and so much healthier and happier, Vanessa. And it is also good to see how Aika is growing up and well on the way to becoming a reliable companion for you on solo adventures. I don't blame you for bringing a cameraman after so long being unable to exercise properly. It takes a while to get the fitness back, so an extra pair of legs and shoulders to carry some of the load and save you the back-and-forth of doing the approaching and walking onwards portions will give you the time to exercise that fitness back. Many people call a campfire a bush television, which came to my mind as you described the restful stage at the end of the day when the sleeping bag is lofting and warming. Much healthier than an actual television though, of course! Still not ideal for night vision, but better the warm red and orange of the fire than the stong blue content of a screen, particularly as it is dying down into embers and losing most of its intensity. Thank you for bringing us along on your return to the woods.
