I'm glad to hear that. Even though I clearly take the position that Joseph was not a prophet, I want to do it by being as generous as I possibly can be and see where that leads.

It's good to do an analysis. It's good to keep people honest. So, will you do an analysis of what the native Americans themselves are bringing forth? (1) the nemenhah records (2) the ojibwe records (coming in April 2025). Then 5 more books. (3) Chief Midegah and the building of 2 native Americans temples in Missouri. And how they are gathering all the break away groups of lds.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sounds like I'd need to spend a while getting acquainted with those topics, so maybe someday I'll address those

If I found treasure, I would say I didn't find any either. They say that's what Stowel did. He didn't want anyone to steal it. The Urim and Thummim IS two seer stones, so I don't understand the problem with using a seer stone when the urim and thummim wasn't available.
@MormonAuditor
@MormonAuditor 13 күн бұрын
Got it, so Stowel did find the treasure, he just lied about it. I'm glad we can now use Stowel's lie as evidence of Joseph's abilities. In the video I acknowledge that the spectacles were basically just 2 seer stones, and if you still can't think of a reason why using the single stone and then covering it up is problematic, then you weren't paying attention, because I approach it from at least 4 different angles in the video.

My word, you don't have to be facetious about it. My husband does a little mining here and there. No. He does not tell anyone when he finds anything. Not even me until it's all very l clear, and then not very often. Yes, i daw you acknowledgedthe seer stone similarities, so i was a little bothered by some of your statements beforehand; a little misleading. I'm not even a member of the Mormon church i was put off. Maybe it's not the info, but rather the vibe, like there's some resentment or a bone to pick with someone. @MormonAuditor

You're right, I was too snarky just then, I apologize. I found your comment frustrating because you were implying that I had dismissed the Seer stone SIMPLY BECAUSE it was a seer stone, but that was not my argument. The video showed how new problems pop up even if the Seer stone was legitimate. Your comment made it seem like you hadn't even finished that section of the video before commenting, hence my annoyance. But if that kind of vibe is off-putting to you, then maybe this content isn't for you. Best wishes.

@MormonAuditor i too apologize. I made my comment before I watched the whole thing. I can see how people who feel lied to all their lives can feel like they need to tell others. I, personally, don't see a problem with treasure hunting. It's no different than competing for a position of employment. I don't think joseph Smith purposely tried to scam people, but that's just my opinion.

@kevnbev2 1800s Treasure digging is not competing for a position of employment you absolute dingus. Next you’ll be telling us that all those Ethiopian princes trying to give away iPhones are competing for market share 🤣 🤣

I'm not a Mormon, but I'm convinced JS was a Prophet. Perhaps JS used the hat or a dark place, to better see the light of the stones to translate?

So the stones or God can light up the stones to show words from another language into English but can't light them up bright enough? While mere humans can invent technology to brighten the light on their phones? Come on man. Think better.

@ Jeremiah 17, shows BY was not supposed to move to Utah. There were many other things after JS such as that, which were not aligned with Scripture. But there was a small group who stayed behind and kept their copies of the church documents. Now we can compare them with the mainstream church and see how many things have changed.

@@Rjrupert555 The COC is okay but they don't go very deep in theological discussions, like most churches. Maybe you can help. The COC, like most churches, doesn't want to dig deep in Scripture to come to agreements on doctrine. The RLDS still exists today, but struggles to learn the new things the Lord is revealing, similar to the people in the wilderness in Exodus. My Wife's family is RLDS. I am more of a black sheep since there's so much the Lord is revealing fulfilling the things to come written in the Bible and 1908 Book of Mormon.
