Bushman's 85L upright fridge canopy installation

It's not easy trying to fit an upright fridge into a canopy so I run through how you can install one yourself

Nice work I’ve done mine with 8mm Rivnuts replacing the screw holes underneath. Then bolted through my bracket, through the rubber feet and into the rivnuts. Also added some mastic to try seal any air leaks…. Great setup

Literally fitted mine on Thursday. I used the box as I had no other way to hold it down. Top vid. 👍🏽

Yeah that's a good point. The whole idea of me putting this in was to save weight. The 2 legs I put in weighed hardly anything

Just installed mine on the weekend can’t wait for the first trip with it, I just used flat aluminium bar and bent it to the fridge shape , in 2 spots, first strap screwed into the surrounding spots,

I could just slide the fridge in. I had to attach the feet once it was in there otherwise it wouldn't fit through the door

Do some research on the reputation of bushman's a company 40 year's old & 100% Australian business. Then compare the reputation of 4wdsupacentre and you'll understand why there is a price difference. You could compare adventure king's gear to any quality brand & say well it looks the same I'll just buy the cheapest one & if that's all your budget allows then I'd never diss anyone for running their gear. I started with over $5k worth of king's gear and I loved it because it got me outdoors without having to save for years for the good quality products. But if your budget allows & you can afford the better quality products then I'd say 100% of the time buy the better product. It's peace of mind. From someone who's ran both ranges of products my advice is buy the best product that your budget allows for & no more

I've got enough power to run mine 24/7 with no need to turn it off. But you could run it through a relay and a switch if you wanted to turn it off

Really good vid mate 👍 I've been looking at my obese rig for a while now and thinking this might be a decent diet for her. Any good or bad things about it? If weight was no issue which would you prefer?

I haven't had the opportunity to test it out yet as my cars still being repaired. But weight wasn't the only reason I wanted this. I no longer have to slide out a fridge slide or reach from above. Simply open the door & get what I want which is in easy reach rather than digging through a normal style fridge to find a beer right down the bottom lol

In no way is that price unreasonable. You go buy an arb, Engel, waeko fridge that size & see what price you are up for

@@Campingdownunder I got a small 240v upright for 150 bucks, got another130amp battery already had giandel 2500w inverter 300w solar all up probably 600bucks works great. Just saying for wat u get, it's a joke, basically a bar fridge.

Except they are designed to integrate directly with a 12v setup. Otherwise people need to invest in an inverter & 12v would be far more energy efficient than a bar fridge
