Bus, my wife and I have spent the past few months catching up to you in Season 8. Thanks for sharing your journey! We've been laughing along to your antics and appreciate the humility and honesty of your production. We'll be starting our own timber frame build soonish... we're at the milling trees and digging a foundation stage. You've shown us (and our skeptical family members) what's possible. Glad you weathered the last storm alright! Your friends in the Granite State, Aaron & Colleen

Hi Bus Huxley, I always look forward to seeing your videos and seeing what you are up to. I usually don’t comment but I wanted to let you know that you bought the best portable planer on the market. An excellent addition as you will use it for years to come. Best Regards and a happy new year. Fred Thomas in Skokie IL

Glad to see you well. Now the last 10 % of the house takes 50% of the total time. 😀 Really love your videos and content. Been following you for several years. Took the shoes off my horses the last week in Oct. Had great fall weather for two months. Then winter hit the first week in Nov and has been non-stop since. This has been the longest coldest early winter since I moved to the PNW 10 years ago. Reminds me of my childhood in northern New England. Thanks for the Maine fix. Best of luck as you finish the house.

I have missed the updates on your place. Its looking awesome on the inside. Hope you had a wonderful Xmas. The storm last week at first for Indiana called for 18 inches then when it hit we had 5 inches. Would love to see you look to go off grid to avoid those power outages.

Yeah, the wood heat kept it cozy. I'm just not in a great location for solar. Maybe someday as tech improves. I got a genny. Thanks a lot! I hope yours was good too.

It looks great. I am mourning the loss of my oldest son Todd to complications of dialysis and the cyst in his stomach putting pressure on his diaphragm preventing his lungs from expanding for breathing. He passed away on Dec 10 at 7:42 am. He was just 46 years old.

Bus, what did put on the inside of the windows. Vinyl or drywall moulding. House looks amazing. Painted drywall is perfect.

Good question. I did MDF returns with paper corners and mudded in. It looks sharp. Ill show that soon. Thanks!

Do you have any footage of the tape/.mud/sand process? Did you subcontract that out or do it yourself? I love the progress! Thanks for sharing. I love following your journey whether it's catering, gardening, helping people with other projects, building your timber frame, interior finishing, plowing, saw milling lumber, tractor fixes, etc. Wondering if you do any art(painting/drawing/sculpting of any sort?)I love it all and appreciate that fact you take the time to share it with us strangers.
@BusHuxley Жыл бұрын
I dont have any footage of that, I subbed that out almost entirely. It would take me months alone and not look nearly as good as it does. Thank you for the really kind note. I very much appreciate it.

No apologies needed Bro. Raw and real content has it’s place on YT. Truth be told, many channels are over produced to cover up the content or lack there of. Nobody can touch what you’re doing. You’re a dude that’s building a freaking house from trees!!! Unbelievable!!!

As far as your comment on not wanting to be a carpenter !! In retrospect I think you're a little too late for that !! It would be like Larry Bird or Michael Jordan not wanting to be a basketball player . 🤓
